Totally off topic, but the minute you said Oo-lee, I realized my 50 yr error... So TIL that my whole home region (more than the town or county) has been mispronouncing the Danish version of Ole (vs the swedish and the norwegian versions, which we say Oh-lee) and not a one of them ever said a word. It used to be a very, very common name in the middle far north usa. Lol but I guess those Ole & Lena jokes don't apply to them then! (yes, once upon a time, there were racist jokes about Scandinavians, but it's because they were recent immigrants, which isn't cool, but clarifying that it's not a weird "too white for the whites" thing)

Cassandra, I would LOVE to see a video of you working on someones else's skin with professional treatments!!! It would be so fun to watch you work, while you educate us on some of the techniques and services that are available when you go to a pro. I have been intimidated to try different procedures and treatments at the MedSpa because the choices are so overwhelming. I only see an Esti for my brows and lashes, and the occasional lazer to zap broken blood vessels. I would love to see how you work, especially with products and services for us with more sensitive or reactive skin types, as well as acne treatments.

I’m not Cassandra, but I highly recommend chemical peels and microneedling treatments. They did wonders on my acne-prone, scarred skin. Also, both make the skin super glowy (though chemical peels do that slightly better).

The health industry in the US is extremely cruel. I have a lot of moles and in Europe it's a lot different. My dermatologist in Croatia would give me thorough exams and even had a computer picture database of potentially dangerous moles to track changes over time. I've been living in LA for 3 years and at Kaiser they barely even look at me when I go for a check up.

As someone who became an esthetician because I was spending my whole paycheck on $200 facials and $100 cleansers and serums that didn’t do shiz I respect anyone giving HONEST advice to struggling clients. You should never scam somebody into a routine you don’t think is ideal and attainable financially or otherwise. As a service provider you have an ethical obligation to do right by your clients and not just be a salesman That’s why everyone has their guard up when they’re being sold home care

Eminence has really intrigued me a lot. Their prices aren't too prestige-priced as in $100+ USD/product and they do have very interesting botanical formulations. A lot don't contain the standard essential oils you'll see in another organic line and they contain known antioxidants like Q10, ALA, and beneficial fruit+plant extracts. I hope more influencers into natural beauty talk more about it!

I use this peptide moisturizer as well! I quite like it but it’s interesting to me that you find it amazing for your oily skin. I’m oily/combo and I find it a bit much… I only use it at night and a tiny amount over my prescription retinol. I love the ingredients and the experience but I almost wish this came in like a lotion formula! I have such a hard time to find a night moisturizer that is heavy enough but not too much. When my moisturizer gets too much I get these really painful whiteheads around my nose and chin and they feel as if someone is stabbing me with hot needles. Skinfix was the worst for that I had to give it away.

Cassandra, have you seen the Face Gym microneedling device? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. I’ve only ever had microneedling done in a derm’s office and would never use the traditional at-home microneedling devices because of sanitation and safety concerns. However, this Face Gym device comes with sterile needs and serum ampules, which makes me curious if this could be an actually safe and effective at-home microneedling treatment. I’d love to get microneedling done again, but it’s incredibly expensive, so it’d be nice to do it from home but ONLY if it was actually safe to do so.

Please try the Peach Slices azelaic acid serum! I want to know your thoughts on it. I wonder if it could be a close dupe for the Paulas Choice. I just can’t spend $40 on something like that. 😂

Hi Cassandra, Thanks for the video. You talk a lot about products you use on clients and I'm wondering if you have any tips for choosing an esthetician or dermatologist? I've had terrible interactions with dermatologists. I had cystic acne in 2016 and my face is now clear, but I have texture and pigmentation. I'm hoping to work with a derm who can help with my skin, but I have a hard time trusting anyone, especially now that my skin is clear. I don't want to mess it up. Any advice or recommendations in the Seattle area are greatly appreciated!

Being a vegan , I love it that you use and recommend vegan and cruelty products. However, whenever i look up the ordinary, i always see that they are not cruel free although maybe some products are vegan. Can you explain more on that? Thank you!
