Cassandra Bankson. I don't think ANY other skinfluencer gives reviews like cassandra. She is the only one that goes into the ingredients list in such depth and although she isn't a doctor, she has alot of skin experience and I would absolutely trust her word above any other product review. She is the ONLY review that will give me what I need !!! The full scoop. The background. The story. The product. The ingredients. Alternatives. And the final word. Queen B

Cassandra I credit you for pulling me out of my horrible Postpartum depression. I sadly am also bipolar and it hit me so hard. Watching your videos motivated me to just get up and wash my face. Those 2 minutes at first saved me it made me give myself a few minutes for myself it made me start feeling like myself again it made me give myself love even when I didn’t love myself which in turned made me love myself. I now take a lot longer lol and though I’ve been all over the place trying different things going against the rules it’s been amazing for me and I only did it because of watching your videos.

I had a similar experience. I’m also bipolar, and I was suffering from long COVID, unhealthy weight gain (not all weight gain is bad), and lots of physical issues. I was in a lot of pain, and I was dissociating from my body and isolating. Getting into skincare pulled me back into my body. It’ seems so small, but feeling better about my appearance, focusing on the sensorial experience of different products, and learning about skincare science was so helpful. I’ve been able to improve my acne and rosacea tremendously, as well as adopted a healthy sunscreen obsession (which considering I live in Arizona we do not talk about nearly enough). It also helped me feel more empowered about working with doctors on other issues. I’ve come so far in the last year, and it started with skincare. Skincare is all about small, consistent habits to effect large change, and it’s such a powerful metaphor for so many other things. I wish you all the best, friend. Mental heath is SO hard. It’s a journey, and I’m glad you are finding healthy coping skills. Cassandra, thank you for this channel and your work. It’s really important what you are doing here.

I just started using the Elta MD sunscreen for my face and I love it! It costs a bit more than what I would normally pay for a facial sunscreen, but it's totally worth it! It's fragrance free, absorbs quickly, doesn't clog my pores, and it doesn't sting.

This is some information that I learned from her videos that might help u Apply that Sunscreen everyday as future u will thank u Use retinoids as our body decreases the amount of retnoids after our 20s, so applying retnoids will help witb decreasing wrinkles I also have acne and I use salacylic acid which helps to reduce it but becareful as salacylic acid will make your skin more sensitive to the sun so make sure u apply sunscreen And what personaly helped me alot is using a cleanser everyday as it helped alot with my acne, hope this helps

Awesome info!!! I recently got a wonderful smelling and feeling cleanser (avanti's blue gel) in my boxycharm, but was devastated to see it was actually $110 retail (was this the one you were referencing lol?), thinking I'll never be able to afford such a nice product...then I read the ingredients, lol they even put dimethicone on the "star ingredient" list, so I knew something was up (I actually like a smidgen of dimethicone in leave-on products, but it ain't no star ingredient lol). Turns out it is a perfectly fine cleanser with a really nice smell & lovely touch feel (hi dimethicone), but it's mostly sold to subscription boxes, so they jazz up the price ridiculously. I am using it up ofc, it's a nice "spa experience" product, but happily sticking to my good cheap hydrating cleansers that are 100% as effective. Well, actually the cheaps are better at hydrating, but since I have large pores I always get oily skin products like this, some of which are fantastic for smoothing if they get layered under other moisturizers, btw.
