Great idea to add the water to help it blend. Your vitamix and dehydrator come in so handy, you use them for so many cool things. So awesome you can use the pulp for fufu. So cool the starch sank to the bottom.

Waooo....nice job. Thanks for sharing. Do you have a video on how to make fufu with the pulp you got out from the starch ?
@Globalfoodbook1 Жыл бұрын
I don’t have a specific video for that. There are multiple ways of using the powder flour for making fufu. But once the pulp is dried and ground, you can use similar method as the one shown in this eggplant fufu video kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpKUlWivr7l6i8k

It depends on the sun intensity. Dry for as long as it takes to be thoroughly dried

Can cassava starch be use for baking or only the flour can be use for baking
@Globalfoodbook13 жыл бұрын
I've never used it for baking and I wouldn't recommend that either. Cheers
@mapafilia3 жыл бұрын
Cassava can be used for baking, brazilian "Pão de Queijo" (literally translated as "Cheese Bread", "Tapioca" (it's similar to a soft tortilla) and "Pirão" (sauces thickened with fresh cassava starch) are baked or cooked. It is very sticky though to bake, but it has an amazing flavour and I would recommend to use in small breads should you like to try
@mapafilia3 жыл бұрын
To tapioca recipes you can search for "Beiju" (Brazilian cuisine), "Tapioca Chips" (Sri Lanka's cuisine), that are flatbreads made from cassava starch.

Is it a safe assumption that the step of releasing the cyanide is followed by everyone? I have store bought starch and wonder if it can be used safely also for cosmetics.
@Globalfoodbook12 жыл бұрын
It is always recommended to get rid of the cyanide for health safety. I can’t really advise on how to use cassava for cosmetics.
