Cassidy did a great job on Smallville, she came in so late in the run with such a heavy lift expected of her. Plus it being a genre show *and* the story of one of the greatest characters in fiction? She rose to the occasion and made a real impact. One of my favorite non-OG actors on the show.

I think Cassidy had the very unenviable task of replacing Michael's Lex Luthor. It was really awkward at first because of the way season 7 ended, then 8 starts and she shows up and says "Lex is gone". Season 8 often struggled to find its identity without Lex, and Cassidy did just fine, just the change to the show took some adjustment.

I started this episode of "Inside of You" yesterday am... I heard mention of a show called "Longmire"... I paused the show and started watching, I'm now on Season 3 Episode 3, THIS IS A GREAT SHOW! Houghton, known as "Triplet", who did all these great reviews of Smallville, if she ever got feedbacks from members of the cast about those. She answered only from Cassidy. I wasn't disappointed by that, actors and actresses are certainly very busy people, but that shows how great a person Cassidy is.

So happy Cassidy is finally on the podcast,. She seems like a lovely person and deserves all the success she’s achieved. Tess was actually my first Luthor (I disliked Smallville’s pilot so much I didn’t watch another episode until season 9), so I didn’t even care when Michael returned for the finale. It took a further 7 years before I binge watched Smallville and understood why everyone loved Michael’s Lex. Gotta say I was rooting for Tess and Clark Luthor, even though he was a psycho, the characters seemed meant for each other especially after his redemption.

Nice, I've been waiting for the Luthor family reunion. Cassidy was awesome as Tess, following in your footsteps was incredibly difficult but she did a great job and made the role unique and compelling all on her own. I actually really enjoyed the last 3 seasons, Smallville: The Lois & Clark Years. You and Kristin leaving was a difficult (yet understandable) adjustment but it opened the show up to tell new, exciting stories, to broaden the Smallville universe, and Cassidy was a huge part of that.

This woman gave such a presence, energy that was so unlike anything else on Smallville... she had this look in her eyes, how she holds a gaze, especially to other women... that gave people this impression she was absolutely an Alpha Female, and it was sexy and intimidating that would possibly turn any straight woman, at least bi-curious for her... there was as lot of talk about her appeal to women even then... to the point where the idea it was funny if any man would try to hit on her... like "why are you even bothering?" because she was not necessarily a lesbian, but she clearly has more (sexual) chemistry with women than men
