We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay in Cassis. The Calanques and Cap Canaille are spectacular, the fishing village of Cassis and nearby Sanary-sur-Mer are super cute and not overcrowded with tourists. Definitely worth a visit. It can get very windy though!

Wonderful! Excellent videos! Thank you! I just have to mention that we were there 20 yrs ago this July, toting four children (ages 5-11), a young nanny and two couples, carrying huge bags of food, wine, water bottles, and towels, when the boat pulled up to the CLIFF to drop us off - to climb to the top - then walk down to the beach!! I truly thought I was having a heart attack! A total meltdown (petrified of heights)! All the kids tease me about it still! I actually swam back to the boat alone for the pick-up!! 😆. Forwarding your video to our travel friends to reminisce!

Wow, you are brave and you guys made it! That sounds like quite an adventure, especially with the little kids. Sometimes those experiences turn into the best travel stories! Thank you for watching.

@@happygoluckytravel I was there over 20 years ago and must confess that I don't remember except that the wine was dry and delicious.They had it in Marseille. It was either pastise or this white wine there. I took the train from Marseille and that was a mistake as the small station is far from town. Should've taken the bus!

Thank you to share this amazing experience,please how much time did you spend to do it?Im planning to make a tour on september.

Enjoy your trip! We recommend slow travel, staying here a couple weeks and enjoying the ambiance and seeing things by boat and on foot, and doing some excursions to nearby villages. However, you can see the three Calanques in this video in one day hiking. And if you have a car, you can also spend another day at the beautiful Calanque in our what to do near Marseille video. And a third day going on the cliff top drive you saw here and to La Ciotot (also in that Marseille video). So, at least three days. Thank you for watching!

Thank you for the lovely video! Can I ask what time of year you were there?

Thank you for watching! We were there in February. If you go in the summer check beforehand in case the park is closed as they sometimes do for fire danger.

Thanks so much for informative video. I will be much better prepared for hiking these trails in a few days. By chance did you rent a car and drive from Marseilles? If so can you share parking experience in Cassis that will help me when I drive there 1st time?
@happygoluckytravel2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! We stayed in Cassis and didn't drive from Marseilles. The best parking advice we can think of is to arrive early, by 10 am, especially in the summer. Before you drive all the way there, check with the Parc National Des Calanques website and make sure the trails are open as they occasionally close due to fire danger in the summer/hot weather. Enjoy your hike!

Well, that area is not in the « french riviera ». The french riviera or côte d’Azur in french begins from Hyeres to the italian border
