@corinnebeenfield82273 жыл бұрын
I switched from non-profit to the wedding industry a year and a half ago. About a month ago the state's newest luxury venue reached out and asked if I would come interview for their head manager position-then the next day called and apologized, they had meant to contact a Corinne they had been priming for 2 years! But they said, "Happy accident! Come interview anyway, we'd love to meet you." So I decided to put my best foot forward and binged on Cass's videos, prepped all my answers. (Her advice to career changers was GOLDEN as well as this video). At the interview the energy went from "pity interview" to lapping it up! They still went with the person they primed for that position, but because it went so well three other interviews transpired and on Monday I start a position that is a much better fit for my single-mom lifestyle! THANK YOU CASS!! I don't use the phrase, "This changed my life," very often, but I'm using it now!!!! Virtual high fives headed your way!!

This is an amazing video Cass. Thank you very much for compiling your other videos into this one. My interviewer asked most of these questions: tell me about yourself, tell me your greatest strength/accomplishment, tell me your greatest weakness, tell me about a difficult circumstance you had with another employee, and why should we hire you. Your insight into how to correctly formulate a response helped me prepare for my interview and be granted a career offer the next day. Peeps take notes, this is worth every minute.

WOW just wow! She is a really really great source of knowledge & information & is super easy to watch & understand. There are a lot of time wasters out there but this is so worthwhile to spend an hour on. She has great real world, fresh (not old fashioned like so many others) answers. Another thing, she changes clothes between the answers. While this sounds like a weird comment, it makes it super easy to jump around & figure out whether to go forward or back depending on which section you are trying to find. Thanks Cass. Great class! Update - Gotta say...that "hesitant" question is an effing rock star question. You win either way. You can learn, fight for the job, show you can handle feedback...or...get what you want...an offer. I used this yesterday and the *division president* was impressed and told me I did a great job on the interview! Cass - is that unusual? I thought they usually held that kind of thing close to the vest. I'm tellin ya...if I get this job, you have 20 more coffees coming. You were invaluable and I wish I had found you sooner.

The "Tell me about yourself" question is by far the most "useless" question to ask because it´s too vague and doesn´t really say or answer much about someone even if given the "perfect" answer. I had an interviewer once who said to me at the beginning this and I was blown away by it. "I´m not going to ask you typical interview questions,, because the answers can be googled and people will simply just tell you what you want to hear, I want to get to know the real you" and it was very much just a conversation between two people and he got to know more about me as a person then by asking those "canned" questions, getting "canned" answers. I moved on to the final stage...I even told him that it was one of the best interviews I`ve had and he smiled....Really wish most would adopt his approach.

OH MY GOD I JUST DID AN INTERVIEW AND IT WENT SO, SO WELL! The recruiter was really into 3D modeling and when I said that I used it as both a creative outlet and for blocking out ideas for projects where 3D is needed at some point, he said that no one in his department except him got into it and, get this, he said 'Something I really want in this workshop is people who are eager to use the new 3D printers and operate machinery'. He also studied at the same university as me and had the SAME LECTURERS for some modules. Holy. Crap. ...oh yeah, I should probably write that other thank-you note before writing this thank-you note...
