Beautiful. Even after 20 years and a dozen viewings, I still get so emotional toward the end of this movie. While no one has an experience like Chuck Nolan, many of us have experienced an arc of love, complacency, loss, mundane life, and sudden unpredictable events that change everything for either good or ill. The movie could so easily have just had him get back together with Kelly and live happily ever after. If that happened, it is a decent but forgettable movie. But life doesn’t work like that, and this movie had the courage to be honest about it.

One of my favorite movies ever. Liked your reaction to how Tom looked fours years later! Loved the whale looking at him. Listen to the end credits, you hear the waves crashes on the beach ❤ Makes me cry😏

That plane crash scene was so horrifying. Those other people on the flight... That guy saved Chuck's life by giving him that life-vest.

Another great Robert Zemeckis film involving a plane is "Flight" starring Denzel Washinton. That would be a great one for a future reaction.

"Flight" is OK, but I'd go straight to "Sully."

@@Tampahop hmm they are both great movies. But Sully was a little boring in my point of view. I was in a bad situation when I watched "Flight". The message of the that story helped me a lot.

That scene with the "ice in the glass" after he has lost the girl for the 2nd time amazes me every time I watch it. Like a full 3+ minute 1 shot of Tom Hanks with his genius on full display. No cuts, just brilliant.

IM SORRY, WILSON!! That's the saddest scene in film history.

If you are afraid of water like that, you should face your fear and watch "The Abyss" if you never seen it. But if you do, please watch the director's cut !

@@Some__Rando not even a raft bro it's two divers right in the ocean treading water the whole time. You might be thinking of something else. I know there was a sequel that i never bothered to watch but the first film had no rafts.

I just wanted to say your movie reactions are my favorite. I'm with you about the package to a point. We find out in the end what was in that package through that note he left. That package no matter the contents contained hope.

I find it hard to believe you’ve never seen any of these movies especially given the giant movie collection in the background. Great content either way.

He explains it in his first video; he has seen a ton of movies but also has a collection of Blu-ray that he owns but hasn't watched yet
