I would let the meat rest for at least 5 to 7 minutes. Each and every protein cooked under heat should typically rest before you cut it open. FYI in my experience. Looks like a delicious recipe! 😊😋

why does it need to rest before cutting?

Google is telling me to cook for 6-7 minutes on each side. In my experience it comes out not cooked yet so then I do a couple more minutes on each side, but then it’s pretty tough/dry when I do it that way. I’m gonna try cooking it just about 6 minutes each side and then putting it on a plate with some foil over it and it can continue cooking while it rests 😅

Looks yummy. I'm not a fan of chicken breast, so I only watched this to help with the algorithm. But low and behold, with the technique of watching the internal temperature and basting with butter this just might be a game changer for me. Thank you so much!

I wasn't a fan either but with learning to cook it like this and use a lot of seasoning with keto, I have learned to love it. 😁

I will make this in the coming week-yum! In our supermarkets, the price of cutlets is higher than the boneless skinless breasts so to save money I always slice the breasts. I do freeze the breasts a bit to make them firmer and easier to cut.

Made it tonight. So easy but so juicy and flavorful! Loved it!

for safty you might want to try and put a slightly damp paper towel(or 2) under that cutting board to help keep it in place. You don't want it and the knife to slip and take something you need :D

Wow. That's exactly how I season chicken. I'll put a tiny bit of lemon juice in as well and let the chicken marinate.

The idea of cooking the chicken breast in the cast iron skillet and then after putting the entire pan in the oven to bake, do you have to cover the pan in the oven? And also just cooking the chicken breast in the skillet do you ever cover it with anything?

I find that pounding the chicken beasts is a lot easier than trying to slice them in half evenly.

that's probably an induction cooktop... they heat evenly, fast, drop heat the second you remove the pan and energy efficiant
