I also got bullied because I got the lead role that someone else wanted. She literally stormed out the room when the cast was announced. She refused to speak to me like I was her friend, was very hostile, offered me money to give up the role and made people sorry for her about the situation and made them come to talk to me about how much she wanted it - well so did I and I would have been happy for her if she had gotten it. Only when the show got cancelled did she suddenly become nice again... these people were definitely not my friends. Though distancing yourself from this group was difficult since it was high school and you're practically stuck together in the same space and I was incredibly shy. I managed it but it took years for me to finally find my friend group. High school became more bearable once I did. Also, I was playing Detroit Become Human while I was watching this. I agree motion capture looks so interesting to try out.

With the leaving theatre groups thing. If it's a high school setting, sometimes waiting things out until they graduate is best. I think I am well liked in my theatre program at my high school, and there's this senior who is making my world a living hell but, she's graduating and things will get better. It's all up to you to make a choice that feels right.

I dealt with a person last year who was upset that I got cast in the school musical and they didn’t the person was really passive aggressive about it and it was SO uncomfortable sometimes you just gotta prioritize your own well being because taking pride in your accomplishments isn’t a bad thing; people who make you feel bad for doing something you’re proud of SUCK
