I’m really fortunate, my theater has been able to put on shows starting this summer, and i’m in my dream show right now, Into the Woods (Jr version, but close enough). I got Jack’s Mother which has been a blast. i am nervous because i’ve got my first costume fitting tomorrow, and the costume from the last production of Into the Woods...was not great. I’m kind of a mess though, i got accepted into the college which is great, but i still have no plan for...anything, whoops. And i’m behind on a school which helps nothing. The nice thing six this is the first year of HS that i actually have friends. I went to a sleepover a few weeks ago and just being invited made me really happy. And if anyone read all of this i will be surprised. I really need to start journaling 😆

@@lilyfish it follows a Blind, Fearless woman named Karissa, a man with a serious anxiety order named Tommy, a fighting couple with very different plans named Rebecca and Jerry, and their son who is trying to keep himself and his parents together, named Corey. They all get trapped in an elevator and they all have to try and get out of it without killing each other. It's a comedy btw. I'm really proud of the show right now, and I'm close to finishing the first act. :)

The issue arises with that he is currently separating from his wife, he is going through a lot mentally, we work together and we just simply can't be together now. Hey Kat! First time answering your QOTD. I don't normally feel compelled to answer these, but I've been feeling really, stressed, overwhelmed, and lonely lately. Looking for connection somewhere that isn't at work. I work part-time at a local grocery store, so I've been going going going through the whole pandemic. Work people are the only people I see, work is one of the few places I go, and seeing as it can be a source of stress (with new procedures, etc), that's not what I want for my life. I'm trying to make big changes, but I find that every time I look at the things I need to do to make that happen, I have no idea where to start. QFTD: I have a headache, I've got band practice in a few minutes, and I'm stressing over my SAT tomorrow. I'm trying to enjoy my senior year, but things have been crazy at school, and its not just the pandemic. We've got a new band teacher, and everyone's mad (our other teacher was like a father to us), and I feel I always get put into the middle of arguments that I don't want to be apart of. I'm also trying to basically figure out what to do with my life, as many of my interests are things I cannot physically do. On the bright side of things, I just finished showing my animals at the fair, and I finally got first prize! I was literally crying coming out of the ring because this was the last time I could show and I've always worked so hard and never won anything. Also, I get to see all my FFA chorus friends in a few weeks and I am so excited! As someone with many interests, the FFA chorus was the only place I have ever met someone who shows animals and jams out to musicals at the same time. They even knew what I was talking about when I mentioned Theatre Thursday fam! Kat, I don't know if you'll read this, but thank you for always being cheerful. I love it when I come home from school and see a notification that you've uploaded another video, because that means I'll get to "talk" to someone who has as much passion as I do about something most people around me could care less for. aotd: I'm doing okay, I think the best I can. I live in Australia and so the seniors are back at school full time in preparation for end of year exams. I've been rehearsing for my theatre and music performance exams which is stressful but they're what I truely enjoy doing and bring joy to my life. It's my first reading week at university! It's basically a week-long pause on classes so we can all recuperate and catch up. I recently went through a nasty platonic breakup which really threw me for a loop but every day gets easier. I just made plans with my new friend to have a broadway dance party on Halloween so it feels like life is beginning again. On one hand I’ve been feeling really lonely and i’ve just been yearning to have a relationship with someone. I always find myself daydreaming about like holding hands and cuddling and stargazing or like wearing each other’s hoodies. I just wanna feel loved. It doesn’t even have to be romantic tbh. A kiss would be nice but I just want someone to be with. On the other hand I’ve been playing a lot of among us and minecraft and i’ve gotten closer to some acquaintances through it so i have that going for me. Also I miss going to school I was originally gonna go two days a week but them my district was like “no❤️” i think they needed to sort out busses? Now I have online school and it’s cool because i can just cheat but when i go back my grades are literally gonna plumit. my school’s having a winter musical and a spring play instead of our usual fall play and spring musical. I hope i get cast. I didnt get into the musical last year and i think with a smaller cast size because we can only have so many people on stage, i have an even lower change of getting in. i did stage crew last year which was really fun it was nice being behind the scenes. this went a lot of different directions lmao

Honestly, I’m feeling kinda stressed out yet productive at the same time. I have a pretty solid amount of work on my plate atm, but I’m confident that I’ll be able to get it all done in a productive and efficient manner. I'm doing okay! College auditions are getting SO close! My first prescreen is due November 1st and my first in-person audition is November 14th so I'm prepping like crazy and a big part of me is terrified but I'm choosing hope over fear!

This is kiiiiinda random but I was watching your “Answering anonymous theater questions” and you had mentioned that your a sucker for tv and your really into the writing and cinematography of tv shows. I recommend you watch “Schitt’s Creek” it’s a Canadian tv in Netflix and it won 9 Emmy’s this year, one for writing! Also to answer the question of the day, I’m doing pretty good, quarantine is kinda getting to me a little bit because I chose online learning for school but my Drama Class started back up so I get to see all my friends (in masks of course) but I’m really excited and we might be doing Oliver! i'm okay. i go back to school in 12 days and i'm absolutely not ready. other than that i'm just trying to stay afloat. i'm getting a keyboard for chistmas as my main big gift and i'm so excited to actually learn but tbh, the fear of failing is keeping my wary of getting too ahead of myself, something i do quite often.

I feel all right today. I’m scared because I’m doing horribly in Geometry, and am pretty bogged down by schoolwork, but right now I’m just chilling and it’s nice to just curl up under a blanket and watch KZbin. I’m also exited for Halloween because my friend’s having a little (safe, don’t worry) costume get-together with some of our friend group, and I’m going as Michael Mell, so that’s keeping me positive and less stressed.

i’m honestly doing pretty ok! my theatre company isn’t doing productions, but they do have socially distanced group vocal classes so it’s nice to see my friends still. i have been having an existential crisis lately, but it’s fine.

I'm doing actually alright right now! I moved away from home to go to school which was a bit of a shock, but I have enjoyed having a little more freedom. I'm in a few generals that I absolutely hate, but I'm doing some crafting and painting on the side which it so destressing and relaxing! I also got enrolled in voice lessons which has been a huge blessing! Of course it does get lonely, I miss my friends, I miss my family, and I miss the chance to be doing theatre which is my love, but there's still a lot of good things happening so trying to stay positive. :)

Aotd: I’ve been back at work for a couple months after being furloughed so that’s good, but like many others I really miss performing. It’s been almost a year since I performed and my last show was The Best Little Wh*rehouse in Texas, and it’s been so long cause I can only do shows through my college right now and I hadn’t gotten cast in the show that was supposed to be last semester. When no ones home I’ve been belting show tunes in general and also from my Spotify playlist of songs from every show I’ve been in, which has only served to make me miss performing even more.

Its been tough. I haven't done a show for two years because the shows my school did were not plus size friendly (according to my school) but I finally am playing Martha in Heathers. Kind of angry they won't cast me as someone with better singing because all my friends and vocal coaches say I have a great voice but, school is school. Thank you for brightening my day Kat! Love you!
