This role is just so perfect for Jordan! It allows him to really put his whole self in this! I've always loved him every time he sings, it feels like it's his last time singing and this role feels like one big moment of yearning, yearning for love he's trying not to lose! He does that so expertly! I would love to see him live!

i live and breathe for the simple reason that i get to snippets of jordan and maia singing in hadestown. i truly hope that maia gets to a point in her acting/singing career where most people know her name; she's the first actress i've ever seen that i genuinely hope reaches stardom. she deserves it🌞🌹

With how big of shoes to fill the original updated cast left with powerhouses like Reeve, Eva and Andre to name a few, future casts have a lot to prove. This is honestly the best ensemble in my opinion since the iconic cast that catapulted this play. Jordan is a powerhouse of a singer who honestly makes you believe every word he sings, Maia has that raw energy in her voice that compliments Jordans range (she's one of the few who took this role that puts emphasis in her vocals), Philip as Hades is every bit imposing as the role needs to be with the richness of his voice. Our queen Persephone has always shown up even when she was a Fate sister (sorry, I don't know the full cast names xD) and the new Hermes has a poise to him that brings a fresh take to the character. When he was leaning on the sign in the back, even though it probably wasn't rehearsed it just felt like something Hermes would do. Not center stage, but as the storyteller, he represents us as we watch the story through his eyes. So he has to have that presence that you notice. Overall, a strong cast that I really hope to see perform. I'm genuinely excited for whatever snippets of their performances we can get regardless.

Just saw it last week. Had no idea what was going on in the first half. The couple sitting next to me left during intermission. The second half made more sense. My advice, research Hades, Persephone, Orpheus and Eurydice before going. I actually appreciated it more after reading about the mythology after the show. Would have enjoyed it a lot more if I knew what was happening.
