I feel like this song was written for me personally. God showed me his will for my life 2 years ago. I took a step of faith and went back to school to learn American Sign language. I haven't heard this song in years and for some reason the lyrics just popped into my head. It is past midnight and I just burst into tears. Songs like this have such an impact, songs that speak the truth of God and the peace of God and the love that God brings into your life. I think the future is something that scares everyone at some point because we can never really know what is going to happen, but God does. This song is so so powerful and I am so happy that I have music like this that helps me feel closer to God.

God spoke to me through the lyrics of this song a decade ago. I was mentally and financially exhausted studying at med school, I wanted to quit. But God kept telling me to "finish the race" even if it didn't make sense then. By God's grace, I am now a doctor, teaching and mentoring students who also wanted to become doctors. It's amazing how God has come full circle. I am also sharing this song to my students to inspire them to just go (or stay) where God tells them to - even if it seemed it didn't make sense.
