I actually skiped ranged weapons in my current playthrough, have a one handed weapon and shield, a lance for horseback and a two handed swinging polearm for groups, no need to worry about changing up the loadout as I'm also forgetful.

put yourself in the clan role of quartermaster, you'll start leveling up your steward skill and will give you a larger army, it only works with you for some reason and you cant use your companions

You can use your companion as quartermaster in clan role, and they also level up their skill in you assign em as quartermaster

They game seems to default and turn the roles back to "none" at times. Not sure why, might be when the game updates. So check constantly to make sure the roles are still active.

Hey man nice video... You also can build the trebuchet catapults and when they are finished with building you can pause the game click on them and put them into reserve.. When you build all of the 4 you can put them on the same time back on their place then they will destroy the enemies buildings and walls and it makes it easier for you to charge from multiple sides without climbing on walls and stuff because your man will charge trough the destroyed walls as well and you don't need the time to build siege towers because you can't use them when the walls are destroyed by your catapults but they will be builded up again when you have the castle of course and also before you get over the troop limit you could give them to your followers who are riding with you in the army they are not with you anymore but at least they will not leave and you will not loose to many good troops... Keep it going man 😁(if something is wrong sorry I am from Germany haha)

You should try and use a slashing pole arm on horse back in field battles. It makes it so much easier to hit enemies because there is a swing arc rather that just the line for the spear, and you still one hit kill enemies 99% of the time.

ESO loving the series, here's a tip. When you are charging with your horse when you build up speed press X with your polearm equiped, does more damage than the normal attack and its easier to land, also doble tap W to get faster and doublr tap S to stop faster (sorry for bad grammar not a native)

It's Scorpions not ballistas , scorpions are mounted big crossbows to kill people while ballistas are massive siege weapons used to break walls by throwing man sized arrows (pointy trees basically).

The fuck, Batania holds a lot of land. Goes to show that nothing is really pre-scripted. In my own campaign they got totally wiped off the map. I am with Vlandia too and our armies of mounted knights just swept their western territories whilst the western empire rammed their east flank. Within like 10 hours of gameplay they were just gone. Your Empire factions are also weak compared to mine. In my campaign the Empire really piled up on the enemies I was fighting with Vlandia taking lots of lands on opposite fronts. The Western Empire is actually the biggest most dangerous faction after VLandia and will be a fierce enemy.

How strong are the Vlandian's in your game? I had to start over because they ended up owning 2/3 the map and the only other nation was a quarter their strength. During my second playthrough though I actually didnt become a vassal to anybody and just started my own kingdom and in doing so I found out some interesting things. First, no matter who you are at war with once you complete the quest to establish your own country the war stops and everybody is at peace with you. I also found out that if you make yourself Quartermaster of your party then you will raise your Steward skill which increases party size and you get XP daily towards your Steward skill. I was able to amass a party of 120 to raid my first castle in order to establish my own country. Caravans are a great way to make money but their profits are wildly unstable, you might make 300 one day then 1300 the next. When looking at a castle and deciding whether to take it or not, look at the troop configurations. If the enemy castle has parties led by heroes then you can attack the parties as they leave thereby reducing the numbers they can send as reinforcements.

the game definitely has to work on the ai pathing in sieges... especially in wooden battanian citys and the stairs in imperial towers.

when defending a siege in an imperial city, you can do it by yourself... get into a tower where their archers are out of line of sight and their soldiers will get stuck on the stairs coming up to you and you can kill them one at a time as they get stuck on the stairs with you bow (esp if you have an arrow bucket with you)

Tip: when you get prisoners that are high-level troops, they are less likely to want to join your party later on.

Apparently gaining conformity with prisoners tier 5 (I think) and above is bugged. In order to do it you have to get a mod called recruitable. Also, pressing z while on your horse dismounts you without having to look at it first.

On horse Press Z for quick dismount (didn't have to look down and press F) , double tap forward for horse speed up faster, double tap backward for horse stop or slow down faster and for something epic press space bar when stay still on horse. there is someway when on horse to walk sideway but I don't know

While sieging you can pause as soon as any of your trebuchet, rams, towers ballista's, etc are finished and click on them an put them in reserve. Once you've built up to your liking, you can attack them with full force in the assault!

just had 2 bugs show up...went into the hideouts with the 9 men..( 1 got stuck in a tree ) and doing a village kill the poachers thing..the village was on fire ..game said you failed in your task..lol

Hate to say it but nothing is better than setting player damage to very easy and flanking the enemies infantry with a two handed cleaver, I’ve racked up over 60 kills in one battle that way 😂 don’t let myself get used to it but fun to just fuck shit up every now and then

Raiding villages like you need money, which you don't. A material argument : also, as a conqueror, villages will become yours and they will give you little recruits since they hate you.

There wasn't a bug. Appys the Robber suicided, lost all the men and got captured. The Loud joined you in the siege of the castle. He was left there with a garrison.

Yo you can recruit a lot of troops in tavern there is always someone willing to join your party i once hired 6 hired blades for 3 600 they re really strong so just a tip from me I really do enjoy your playthroughs tho and killing the entire nation I can t wait :)

After creating the ballistae, onagers, and trebuchet, you can pause the game and reserve it so you can deploy it in battle without it getting destroyed before the start of the siege.

When you siege if you make a siege weapon after it's complete you can click on it and pick it up and it won't be destroyed. Then you can use it in battle

You should put a full 10k or even 20k gold in your castles and cities since you have so much money

When looking to add troops, don't forget to visit the tavern and speak to the mercenaries there; sometimes it's just caravan guards, armed traders, or thugs, but mercenary horsemen, imperial equites, crossbowmen and other types can show up. They're usually standing by themselves and you can just walk over to them and hire. They're not cheap, but they're better than recruits (generally).

When you build catapults, trebuchet, etc., you can place them in reserve (hiding) as soon as they're built, so they won't take damage. So, you can build like 3 or 4; then, if you time it right, as soon as the last one is built, pause and place it in reserve so that it's been targeted by enemy catapult, ballista, but not yet taken damage, and their attacks will hit the space yours just vacated when you un-pause. Then quickly pause and take all your seige engines out of hiding, and you should be able to wreck their engines before they can reload, and then hammer their walls.

This game looks pretty fun and I absolutely love ESO's ability to craft his own story for himself on this play through. It does make me want to play, but honestly this game runs like trash and charging money for it under the fraud banner of "early access" is something I refuse to do. If only companies could release finished games like they used to.

Had a bug were enemy got stuck behind siege tower. I was out of arrows and nobody could reach him being the last guy to end the battle. I took me 10 min to find a rock and kill him because all the arrows disappeared.

Keep in mind that if you recruit Sturgians and fight against Sturiga, your men actually will start to get morale debuffs. They don't like to fight against their own people or kin.

Try ti give Danny a Glaive. It's a polearm that has a thrust damage like a spear but it can also be swung when you put away your shield and that swinging attack absolutely 1-hit kills anyone. You can even do that while riding a horse for even more damage.

If you press x to lower your spear before charging you will regularly do 500+ damage... also double tap and hold w to Accelerate your horse faster

I wish when you go to towns to recruit troops you could recruit them into your party memebers party so you dont have to keep talking to them and transfering your own troops over so you are at true full capacity found it very annoying. I know if you wait in tows they sometimes recruit a few more but it usually takes absolutely ages and is just painful.
