Jon Huertas is an ongoing legend and just one of these natural actors in such a fun quirky show! One if these rare ensemble shows where the chemistry is so essential ti the series! I always watch Castle anytime its on!

It’s unconscionable that series are canceled even though there is a huge market of fans who want the show to continue. Actors are caught in the middle too. The career is fraught with uncertainty even for hit shows like Longmire which is still so popular in reruns and deserves another season. And actors these days show up unprepared? The work involved demands actors show up ready to go. It’s an insult to the crew not to be prepared. It’s teamwork. It’s another example of self entitlement that needs to be banished from the set. Longmire is admired for its actors showing up and doing their job. Incredible that the new generation of actors is so self absorbed they can’t be bothered to learn their lines beforehand.

I was sad to see Castle collapse under internal conflicts - I don't know the full story but it would be sad if egos and laziness torpedoed a great show.

Made it 8 seasons which is crazy long for most any show. Disappointing that there was cast issues but it was time (or probably past time) to end it as it was on cruise control and had done everything it was going to do. 173 episodes.

​@@curtisbme Don't think the issue was the cast, most of the cast has had guest roles on The Rookie. Jon has even directed 3 episodes. Most likely it was show executives.

@@BarbusCraft It was cast issue between the two leads that led to her getting fired and she would have been killed off if they did season 9. That likely but the nail in the coffin.

@@curtisbme Yes, from various accounts, Stana and Nathan were in conflict a lot of the time. Now, wether one of them said somthing like 'if they don't go, I do', or the executives fired Katic independently I don't know.

@8:56 - that is crazy that you are lucky enough to get cast in a show, something that doesn't even happen to most aspiring actors, and you can't be bothered to come not only prepared but over-prepared? Weird sense of entitlement. Makes me wonder if they got cast because of connections.

I don't think it matters what race somebody is, but if he's good at his craft and he was good in castle from the finished product.. then i have no issue and would support him moving up in the world. I really don't think we need to keep mentioning race and gender and birthplace it just makes people think about politics, it can be TRUE and still leave a bad taste in peoples mouths, i'd hope anyone with talent can direct anyone no matter their gender and we don't need a director per actor based on their personal life choices and place of birth.. because imagine that. imagine needing a sub director per person because of where they were born.. it'd be silly Alien would've had to have so many directors to cover each actor. But it'd be a great help if he gets a tv show based on his culture maybe having a director who also understands that culture would help more than just aids and other titles i can't think of who offer technical support for like army stuff. Kind of like saying you need a four star general to direct Stargate because its based in a military base with army peeps.

Really loved him on Castle. His charm and charisma made the show great! This (interviewer) SUCKS! She is unprepared with her non knowledge of many things. Too busy playing with her hair and entertaining herself.iMO And she's ( in the business)?
