Hérbin Violette Pensée - Purple ink was the standard ink used in French schools, because the dye in it (methylene violet/gentian violet) was the cheapest dye of all. Schools bought it in powdered form, and the teachers would pour it into a jug of water, mix it, and pour it into the inkwells in the desks. The purple dye has anti-bacterial properties, and it's also used to prevent thrush (a bacterial infection) in babies and nursing mothers.

I did just order an oblique pen holder from a seller on Etsy that I’ve been eyeing for a very long time. I believe he’s from Turkey. I’m over the moon excited to have it arrive! I love your videos so much. Such an interesting collection and your filming and commentary are top notch. I love all the rocks too. Thank you so much for delivering amazing content to us in the US. I hope to get to Tokyo next year and attend some of these events. Happy New Year!!

I'm a boring Waterman Serenity user, but I really enjoyed your video. First class!
@InkyRocks3 жыл бұрын
That's not boring. Not using a fountain pen is boring hahaha! One of our club members just about only uses black pens and blue black ink but he now owns a pink pen! Thank you so much for watching with a sense of humor!

Another fun, well-researched video! Clearly, someone's been to Okamotoya more than once this year. Also, that Gleaners ink looks like broccoli soup.
@InkyRocks3 жыл бұрын
hahaha! This is a first! I don't think I've ever owned an ink that looks like soup! Thanks Jacob!

beautiful video as always @Inky.Rocks!!! any idea if yaching style turquoise ink ships internationally?
@InkyRocks3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I don't know if she still has any, but you can check out her IG. It's probably the easiest way to contact her. YachingStyle.

If I buy that j herbin ink I would have to keep it away from me when I'm drunk, I might think it's grape juice... They way you poured it in the pitcher too! Looks like it's missing some ice 😂

hahaha! I know! Good thing that stopper is kind of stiff--I don't know if I would be coordinated enough to open it when drunk!

TAG Stationery is sold out, and "No Detail is Small" doesn't YET ship overseas {they do have the "Ink Collection Kit"}. I'm ok with that, I can wait. Thanks Inky ;-}
@InkyRocks3 жыл бұрын
I'm sure TAG will restock. They regularly sell out and then restock. Also, things will get better once Japan Post starts mailing again. 💕

Wonderful video! I wish I could order the Kawasaki and Yaching inks.
@InkyRocks3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! The Kawasaki inks are hard to get even for us living in Japan--I just happened to get it at the ink show. Yaching is sold in a few places here and in Taiwan. You may want to contact her on YachingStyle on IG Her English is excellent.
