23:35 To be fair, Dracula is _exceedingly_ depressed at the moment. Also as confirmed by Godbrand, hasn’t been feeding for who knows how long. Dracula is a shell of his former self, only convinced that “they all must die”. He isn’t exactly function at 100% brain capacity. Let alone having any desire to create a counter move or “think three steps ahead” as it was put.
@darknessunknown438411 ай бұрын
In the prologue of Curse of Darkness, Hector had also abandoned Dracula; before his battle with Trevor and the others. The difference is that, in the game, he left because he had grown disillusioned with Dracula and his wicked ways; as opposed to being duped and then strong armed into leaving, like he was here.

When you put it like that, it definitely reframes him as weaker willed in this version. Getting dragged around by an abusive woman.

He still would have left eventually because he wasn't trying to commit genocide. Also Isaac is even more different.

3:03 the "die" is also a reference to the original games - it's often used in save rooms, or teleportation rooms that a player can unlock to quickly traverse the map still used for teleportation here, but they kinda flipped the script on who uses it
@JM-nothing-more11 ай бұрын
also, the opening of ep 7 has the absolute best use of the original game soundtrack, a remaster of "Bloody Tears" and i am still salty at Netflix that there isn't a full version of it

2:50 - 3:00 Someone mentioned this on an earlier video, but that device is a reference to the save point; in Symphony of the Night. Minotaur's have appeared in many games; Curse of Darkness being among them. 7:30 - 7:35 This guy is Malphas; a recurring boss, that first appeared in Symphony of the Night.

Honestly, in regards to the descriptions of Isaac and Hector as an old and young soul, I have to disagree. I don’t think it has anything to do with thinking ahead. I think it has more to do with experience. Specifically of who to trust. All of Hector's actions were done because he was thinking ahead. Thinking about the sustainability of Dracula's plans. Where he stumbled was in choosing to trust Camilla. In Isaac's case, he's fully loyal to Dracula. He trusts him and believes in his goals. None of his actions take any forethought past whether or not they will hinder said goals.
@scargreatness845711 ай бұрын
I agree however Camilla was being way more transparent then Dracula was to him. They both lied to him the only difference is she admitted to lying after, and the abuse.
@Revanshard450111 ай бұрын
@@scargreatness8457 I agree. He had legitimate reasons to question his trust in Dracula. He just made the mistake of responding by throwing in with someone who thought even less of him.

You both doubted my boy, Trevor. He may not have the raw strength of Alucard, or the magic acumen of Sypha, but he's got skill and knowledge. In many ways, he's way more dangerous than either of them. Because he can't be as straightforward as them, so he's a little more misleading in his fighting, especially with his whip.

Quite a lot happening this episode, huh? The three heroes defending the library from a demonic siege party. Carmilla’s diabolically clever betrayal move with the river and the Bastard Bishop’s corpse. The battle between vampire armies. Sypha “stealing” Dracula’s castle. And Carmilla’s perfect “What the fuck just happened?!” And the next episode is going to be even more epic. 😊

And so the finale approaches and Sypha inadvertently took out almost two entire armies worth of vampires. Alucard and Trevor need to up their game, if they want to even the score. The heroes have really been blundering their way to success . One thing to remember about Trevor is that his training is incomplete and stopped when he was just a child. And then he started drinking, so he is probably still pretty rusty. Imagine what a fully trained Belmont at their peak would be like. It is no wonder Carmilla looked panicked when she heard that there was still a Belmont running about.

Castlevania, according to the lore of the games, is an almost-sentient construct infused with chaos itself. It's what ties Dracula to the Infinite Chaos that is the source of his power. If Dracula is slain, the castle goes inert. However, as long as the castle exists, it will keep drawing in power and channeling it to Dracula, reviving him again.

Welp there are already enough people commenting on the Minotaur and Malphas, but the demon with staff is ironically the priest that Trevor whipped his eye out and killed him by using the man’s other eye as a shield from an arrow. Even in death he can’t catch a break. What’s also funny is the Bishop’s corpse having a blessing of God than when he was alive. God abandoned him while alive for what he did to Lisa, but had more use for his corpse blessing an entire river full of holy water. One which the heros inadvertently wiped out a majority of Dracula’s forces and wiped out most of Carmilla’s army. Next episode is going to be good, believe me. Also finally finished watching the whole series up to this point, it’s going to be good.
