Notably, Diregraf will see all the zombies in the graveyard if that is where it enters from. If you reanimate diregraf sees himself in graveyard along with other zombies. So when you used zombie apocalypse and pulled 11 zombies out, diregraf will see them in the graveyard and enter with 11 counters

rooftop storm and grimgrin as a sac outlet in play and gravecrawler in the graveyard creates infinite zombies with the Diregraf Colossus while the archghoul of thraben finds all Zombies in the deck

21:20 fun fact! Diregraf Colossus does come in with counters! It enters "with" a +1/+1 counter for each zombie in your graveyard, and when the counting happens, all the zombies are technically still in the graveyard. He even counts himself!

As a high power casual player, I feel like any combo that requires 4 or more cards, or requires a total of like 15 mana, it should be fine, thats hopefully happening late enough in the game that someone's got removal if it's an issue Great game! Love seeing the chill shit!

I definitely agree with Dylan's ending thoughts, I think 4 card rooftop storm combos are easily on the same level as doubling Gray merchant triggers, I think both are totally fine at a medium-power casual table, but every table is different!

I play only casual and infinites are fine if you're in a higher power casual pod. They're also fine because the game has to end at some point. Big thing with casual is "did the game get to go long enough for everyone to have a shot at doing their thing?" In this game, I would say yes.

That was great love zombie apocalypse. The whole reason to play a zombie deck. As far as combos in causal, to me it’s fine as long as it’s not a 1 card combo with your commander with no other setup and people have the opportunity to respond to whatever combo you’re trying to pull off.

@PlaytoWinMTG Diregraf Colossus counts itself when entering from the grave as well as each other zombie coming in from Zombie Apocalypse. Very clearly stated on Gatherer (rulings at the bottom). I'm a long time Legacy player, so I recognize this ruling from using Dread Return on Golari Grave-Troll. TLDR it's based on "last known information".

Also, it seems that you failed to return Repository Skaab with Zombie Apocalypse. This allows you to again return Z.A. to your hand. You can do this over over over. Once per turn if you don't have enough mana, or repeatedly in a turn if you *do* have the mana.

My baeloth heritage deck is voltron with a lot of pillow fort things to try and make it very difficulty for people to attack me. As with a lot of Voltron, it’s vulnerable to constant removal lol. Baeloth costs so much mana

My noble baeloth deck is very voltron-y. Swords of xy and all kinds of other stuff. Got the list from commander replay and switched the commanders but its still super fun until you find someone with a ghyrson starn with deathtouch or 15 board wipes.

He played his commander once the entire game, got sent back to the command zone before he could use the ability. Honestly commander made no difference, it was the deck. Wilhelt is a great commander though

When you play casual, you could jus specify that it's high power, so if you have infinites it's fine. Casual by itself doesn't REALLY nail down a power level, so saying something like 'low power' or 'high power' will get everyone kindof in the same ballpark.

Infinites in casual is okay, just depends on what's going on. I play a legendary party deck that pretty much just swings face and runs very little tutors. It incidentally has a really jank pod line where I can get Najeela and Derevi into play with Samut but you need like 10 mana, Vannifar to sit around for a turn cycle and 5 cards still in deck and not in GY or hand and access to a 2 drop to pod away. Since the rest of the deck isn't super powerful, I don't mind having a combo like that in the deck. I think if I was actively tutoring for Najeela/Derevi and trying to go off and the deck revolved around winning, then it'd be kind of bad to play in casual. Since it's just a beat face deck with a party theme and cards that I play for flavour, I think it's okay.

gisa provides value right away, on its own. the commanders you mentioned are excellent, but they need other zombies in play to do anything / have to wait for endstep, next upkeep, or an attack to gain value.. also just a personal playstyle preference, I really enjoy self mill in a casual setting.

My Noble Baeloth deck is my equipment voltron deck. It’s just another way to pump Baeloth up, and you’ve got double defense in the command zone so it doesn’t really matter that your commanders don’t have serious artifact/equip synergy.
