Shakey Moon for the win! the ramp in this game was crazy, and I imagine keeping the Racoons and their pet Dragons in check preventing that early trip to value town made a huge difference.

I have built a Helga deck, and she can be SUPER strong with untap engines. I haven't spent much time on the deck, or money for that matter, and I feel like it's my strongest commander deck right now. The only problem is if Helga dies, then the deck can stall, but there are some decent redundancy creatures that can make a good amount of mana and work with the untapping effects. It's easy to make a really strong budget deck with Helga since a lot of powerful untap cards are cheap. Those with Helga and just a bunch of big creatures can still do a ton

Whoa this Wick deck is really different than mine. I went actual factual Rat Typal and use things like Blades of Velis Vel, Volotile Claws, or Maskwood Nexus to turn my massive Pack Rats (etc) into Snails, or Coat of Arms to turn my Changelings into huge Snail Rats. I think it's worth it to have the alternate wincon of beatdown, and it's flavourful. But I didn't even consider this spells version. Very cool. I see Jim is on Hatred which I'm excited to play in the deck. I'm including Plague of Vermin which I think is viable with all the rituals in Grixis. Tainted Strike in particular seems like a big oversight of my list though. Thanks for the video!

I ran City on Fire in mine to triple the damage Wick puts out, not to mention Basilisk Collar which gets me a butt-ton of life back when I eat a snail.

@@stevenguitink5947 I'm on Shadowspear for the same reason, makes Hatred and Plague of Vermin a lot more viable. I was thinking of Gratuitous Violence for the damage doubling but I overlooked City of Fire, thanks!

Is it possible to edit in the "SOLID AS A ROCK" audio whenever someone makes a splashy play? You could have a "SOLID AS A ROCK" play of the game. I think we just need that audio clip to play again and as often as possible. To the detriment of game itself if need be.

I wondered what Jim Dark Petitioned for and was expecting a boardwipe, but looking at the lists... there's no boardwipes in any of em! Is that purposeful for shorter games? Hard to resist a tasty Toxic Deluge/Blasphemous Act when the board is so outta control.

Can someone clarify this? I don't think culling the weak / blink was legit. As far as I know Oracle text of "Culling the Weak" does not "target" meaning that blinking his commander means nothing, He would be forced to sacrifice something again on resolution of Culling the weak.

Sean got done dirty being in the pod with these other decks, he's basically playing a slightly upgraded budget deck with little card draw or ramp and everyone else is running fairly tuned decks

Desperately needed more ETB ramp creatures & those would have fit fairly well within the theme of the deck. Being able to replay farhaven/wood elf/topiary stomper/yami Druid would be good value. Should probably pay himself off better for running 39 creatures with a guardian project/beast whisper/Elven chorus. Idk if there’s a specific theme he’s trying to stay within cause he played a ton of bloom burrow cards, but idk if there’s a world where that deck is going to compete at the bench marks the show usually runs at.

@@adgAlvarez its absolutely fine to backtrack that bit. taking shortcuts is important and fine, but only as long as it doesnt take away from the game. skipping ahead is always the active players choice, so even if it puts them at a disadvantage by for example revealing their attack intentions when rushing ahead when someone wanted to cast a spell before combat, they just have to suck it up. to prevent stuff like this, you can make it a habit to just expect interaction and announce phases when youre about to do something major or smth
