When our kids hit their early teens they wanted to explore and not do a resort. Moab had an excellent dining experience at the end of the day, but there was a long shower washing off red dirt beforehand. Utah we dug fossils. I’m 5’2” and struggle with the length of flares. I few months ago I tried Abercrombie Curve Love Vintage Flare Jeans. Normally I’m very hesitant to try junior brand anything simply because i am 41, and I have a womanly curvy bottom half. (Small waist, big butt). These fit SO well! AND they come in 4 different lengths! The short length was perfect on me. Hope this helps a fellow shortie out.

I would understand if your focus is luxe clothing and women who can afford it, but I thought the message of the channel was to include all women. Love your story about the bag. Clothing and accessories can be strongly tied to memory, and what a wonderful memory you created in both the personal and professional aspects of your life. I love formulaic dressing. It's so easy to write down different formulas and have it displayed in your closet, rather than an album or Pinterest board full of outfits. I feel like it helps maximize use of what you already own, provides inspiration instead of replication which lets individual style shine thru, and can minimize outfit repeats that lead to a fashion rut. Formulaic dressing also helps to ID gaps in your wardrobe so you are better able to create a shopping list. As you plan ahead for summer looks, I encourage your team to keep thinking of looks with a sun safe formula (aka coverage). While I love Coolibar and Lilly Pulitzer's UPF line, I find some of the styling either super young or matronly. It would be great to see Erin's edgy sophistication applied to sun safe dressing. I think the Africa trip will help in this department. I look forward to seeing what you pack for that trip!

I have to use Erin’s recommendations as inspiration because I am a plus size 16. As for the comments about prices. Huge fan of Nordstrom Rack. When I am in California ~ I literally map out my route based on Nordstrom Racks. Fantastic shoes for a reasonable price. You can also order from them online. For you plus sized ladies ~ I recently made my first order with ASOS because they deliver to southern Portugal. Not a big fan of anything not made from natural materials so I had to read the fabric specifications closely. The returns were free in the EU and quite a simple process. I found some really good deals. White Cargo pants that I love!! Black crape material palazzo pants that are so freaking cute. Keep in mind I live in a beach community and in the process of moving to an island - plus semi-retired so my clothing is pretty casual. This video has all kinds of awesome ideas I will be ‘knocking off’ to be less expensive and plus size.

Your story about taking your kids into Bergdorf is actually the best part of the video. My story: I was a young woman who had just moved far from my parents. I needed to get my watch battery repaired and the jewelry store near my new home required patrons to ring a bell to be admitted. I felt that I was not the right person to go into this shop so I just went home. Later, I told my mom the story on the phone and she told me I should absolutely go into the store. She said, “you have every right to go into a store as much as anyone else”. In the end, I became a regular patron of that jewelry shop. It isn’t that we all need to shop in ‘fancy’ stores. We should all feel like we are as important as anyone else and feel comfortable to shop wherever we want!
