I have a fact for you. I don’t know if it’s character specific, but if you take your opponent’s last stock with Hero’s Fully Charged Neutral B, then pause while the final hit effect is happening, the pause menu will lag like crazy, and changing what is highlighted blue on the pause screen takes much longer than normal. I know this fact is a little long, but I find it odd. I think it’s because there might be too many hitboxes on screen.

Most likely around the 9 billion billion mark as I'd assume the variable used to track the time is a 64-bit value. If it's a 32-bit value, it will instead go up to around 4 billion.

So what I think is happening w/ the size change is two things. 1. There is a difference between changing sizes and reverting sizes. 2. Becoming large is unproportional to becoming small. So if you end up getting the mega mush and become mega and then get the poison mush you are not in fact "becoming" mini like you would if you were to grab the poison mush while normal size, but instead "reverting" to your normal size. The same is for the reverse. Now we know from special smash that when everyone is mega they're the same size if they were to grab the mega mush however if they grab the poison mush they're smaller than normal size. This is because I think the mega form is the new normal and grabbing the poison mush is no longer "reverting" the effects of mega but instead making you become mini as usual. From this we can tell that becoming mini is unproportional to becoming big. I assume the reverse is true too. If you were to do special smash with everyone mini and grabbed a mega you would be still much smaller than normal in fact you would probably be smaller than if you were to grab a poison mush while mega. This is really interesting because it leaves 5 different sizes that you can be at. Normal, Mega, Mini, (Spec)Mega>poison mush, (Spec)Mini>mega mush.

There is a reason for this (and a little math). If you touch a Super Mushroom (in Normal Smash or Special Smash), your character is 1.7 times bigger (and not 2.0 times bigger as we can imagine!). Poison Mushroom precisely reduce you to half your size. If you play in Tiny Smash and grab a Super Mushroom, you should be the same size as if you play in Mega Smash and grab a Poison Mushroom. If not, this means the size of the characters in Special Smash in not related with the items. Also: regarding the Lightning bolt, it shrink opponents the same as poison mushroom, however the backfire effect that enlarge your opponents makes them 2.4 times bigger!

Fact regarding final smashes: Did you know when a final smash is activated by pressing the special button, there is a small noise (Vibration sound) the controller makes when activating the final smash. I don't think this works with Gamecube controllers, but it works quite well with my pro-controller and the joy-cons. it almost sounds like a normal power up noise.

5:40 The reason the opponent goes into a prep fall animation when Wario uses his chomp on them is because in normal sizes, an opponent trapped in Wario's mouth will have their model changed drastically in order to fit inside Wario, for smaller models, that would be easier to see, so they just went the prep fall idea that they've used since Brawl.

The Cruel Smash timer thing is likely intentional to prevent the use of pausing as a means of getting your bearings or planning your next move. By doing this, you arent able to cheap out a really high score with a really short time by pause buffering or such (essentially a blunt force frame-by-frame method, since camera controls are disabled likely for that very reason). Even though this is such a minute detail that probably wont ever matter in pretty much every situation, it's nice to see how much effort the developers put into tiny details like that. (That is kinda the point of this whole series, after all)

Here is a fact about how Puff's Rollout is affected in terrain. In SSB4 (may also be in Melee and Brawl, but I am not sure), Rollout had a special effect where the move turns much faster in grass terrain, but icy terrain completely prevents the ability to turn the move. In Ultimate, they removed the grass terrain effect, but kept the icy terrain effect... for some reason.

It’s quite hard to do, but if you go into training mode and pick hero and Pichu, give Pichu a metal box, jump with hero and start charging your neutral B, if you fire the second level charge fireball at the right moment, you will see that it is actually made of two small fireballs, not on medium sized one. Only one of them will hit and the other will fly right over Pichu. You need the metal box because Pichu will get knocked back by the first one into the second.

I believe the inhales of Kirby, Dedede, and K.Rool also work like Wario’s chomp: just don’t work on enemies who have a bigger size multiplier than you. I know there were a few times in WOL where I tried to suck up a foe with the Blunderbuss only to fail because they were slightly bigger than normal

So I haven't done much testing on these 2 random facts but for number 1, you can chain grab sandbag in the team setup option when testing spirits or when testing your controls, he has no timer for grabs. Number 2, I tried this once but ridley down special cannot kill giga bowser, I've done it a couple of times for the final hit but it wouldn't kill him. Don't know if its the same for other bosses.

I discovered a glitch. If you use Joker's side special on a buired opponent the damage taken from the curse is doubled. The reason this happens is because the knockback does not cause you to get launched out of the bury so the knockback and effects are stored.

It's not just Cruel Smash that keeps the timer running while paused. Other Mob Smash modes, Century and All Star, also keep the timer active, which I feel it's more meant for. Century Smash gives a score for how quickly you defeat all 100 enemies, so keeping the timer active while pausing prevents you from using pausing as a strategy.

with R.O.B.'s final smash, i think its less the game considers it to be his laser, but more the input used, neutral B, is coded to take away his charge before having any effect, probably of punishment reasons. due to this, the charge is taken when nuetral B is inputted, even though the game uses a final smash

Question: So on the Fountain of Dreams stage you can see some reflection in the waters of the stage. And as far as I can tell, Alucard can appear on this stage. Does he have a reflection? And for that matter do any assists?

Here is a random discord fact: if you spam click the discord icon in the top left corner, you'll hear 2 random sound: the disconnect sound and someone saying "discord"
