Naturalizing his Sol Ring knowing he's playing Godo, and you know the other player has Isochron/Reversal in hand, was probably a mistake. Sure it slowed him down, but if you destroy the Helm you just outright stop him.

There's no mistake. He can't cast them at instant speed because there would be no mana.

Yeah if I had 1 mana left untapped I wouldve held em all to cast at instant speed but I had to use floating mana to untap selvala. I figured they would have better things to blow up so I figured i had to try to slow them down as much as possible.

I kind of expected Godo to win when I saw the power level differences... maybe this is something you should watch out for in future games: if one deck going "budget" can stay at 8 power and retain most of its functionality while the others go down to 7 or 6 and have to adapt more, it might not belong in that table.

Yay, another Saffi fan! I converted my Saffi Eriksdotter deck to Karador some months ago, because Selesnya is really lacking in the sac outlet department...

@@DarkEinherjar I with a heavy heart had to do the same thing. I had a Saffi deck but I have to say Karador is my new favorite deck. It uses the same line and holds its own against the most powerful decks too. I like to name my decks and while it was Saffi Eriksdotter the deck was named When Angels Deserve to Die. Yes it is a Chop Suey reference, yes it was because Karmic Guide death loop being an angel was critical to the combo.

@@SvviftDeath I'm using Karador because I couldn't find a better commander for the strategy, but he's there just for support: the core of the deck is still the infinite sacrifice engine using Saffi and her gang (Karmic Guide, Reveillark, Sun Titan and Renegade Rallier). Adding black also gave me access to Animate Dead and Dance of the Dead, thus increasing my combo options. I'm waiting to see if Commander Legends will give me partner options that serve the deck better than Karador.

@@DarkEinherjar I added better sac outlets with black and also allowed better access to game ending win cons like Gonti and Zulaport Cutthroat. I also have a reverse engine for the combo line using Hermit Druid. Use Hermit Druid to mill your entire library, Dread Return to return Reveillark, Cabal Therapy to sac Reveillark, Return Karmic Guide and Sac creature, Karmic return Reveillark, Sac Karmic, Sac Reveillark, Return Karmic and Saffi, now loop for rest of graveyard and win. Only go for this if you resolve a Silence effect or Grand Abolisher in play. If you try and fail it's game over.

a 200 dollar deck is still quite high. Considering my average deck is around 50 euros (80-ish dollar i guess). It's mostly the expensive staples and landbase that i miss. But i still win quite a lot vs non-budget decks.

I'm confused. The godo tokens don't have indestructible, so shouldn't the sevala deck survive because he could block enough to kill it?

Nope. You attack with the Godo token. Sure you can block it, but it still does 3 dmg to the blocker. Next combat you have another godo token. Repeat attacking until all blockers are dead.

Not only do you keep making Godo tokens but each token gets you a new equipment. Most run the one that destroys a permanent. With hammer in play it auto equips. You basically demolish your opponents.

When you control Hammer of nazahn, you can attach for free any other equipement that enter the battlefield under your control.

Sure, but the other players didn't, and each godo untaps. As long as the original godo didn't get killed, he's got infinite combat steps and therefore infinite damage from infinite godos.

I really like this type of budget/comp focus gameplays; my only remark would be regarding the deck presentation: We already know by the intro talk and the title of the video that these decks are built within a "budget". There's really no need to keep hammering this information when describing all 4 decks. Not everyone can afford making decks with cards which are $100+ in them; hearing over and over that "well the deck could be better if only we didn't have to restrain ourselves to these budget restrictions... " is quite cumbersome.
