Sir how to approach this types of questions A person has 4 types of liquids (L1, L2, L3 and L4). He made Mixture M1 by mixing 2Q liters, 8R liters, 2S liters and 2T liters of L1, L2, L3 and L4 respectively in Can A. From Can A he transferred 25% of Mixture M1 into Can B. After that, he added 4R liters and T/4 liters of L3 and L2 respectively into Can B to make Mixture M2. In M2, the percentage of L1, L2, L3 and L4 become Q%, 2.50T%, 6T% and Q%/3. Q1. In a can, there was a mixture of 45 liters of‘ L1’, 2.50S liters of ‘L5’ and X liters of ‘L6’. If the percentage of L6 is ‘1.875T%’, what is the value of ‘X’? Q2. A mixture with ‘M’ liters of milk and ‘R’ liters of water is sold at Rs. ‘Q’ per litre at no profit no loss. If the price of pure milk is Rs. ‘Q + 6’, what is the value of M?

Q5 Mortality rate seemed to ask for women who died between 50 - 60 .. doesn't that mean they made it to 50-60 but not 60-70? By that logic I got 40

no, that means that they died before crossing 60 but on or after reaching 50

I used the same logic but when you se it closely you’ll realise both the answers are partially wrong as well as partially right. IIM Bangalore didn’t even update its answer key accordingly. Data is not sufficient to answer this question. Highly disappointed.

Sir, in the first set, CS students who have taken AI and ML are the same set of 210 people. The clue says 50% of total people who have passed, got B grade. And there are 210 Non CS students as well. So , 420 people in total. 48 students have failed in all, which implies 372 people have passed. 50% of 372 is 186 , i.e , 186 people got B grade. But according to the solution, 291 people have got B grade in total. I feel there is a flaw in the question as the question expects us to treat 210 CS students of AI and 210 CS students of ML, as different, whereas they are the same set of people.

It will be 2y because NON-CS students in AI and ML are different. Non CS students can take only 1 , either AI or ML. So, failing in one of the two courses would imply failing in AI or ML, and separate people can fail as separate people have taken the course. Hence, 2y, y people have failed in AI and y people have failed in ML. @@by.anikaa
