First thing I did was grease those cab bolts. Made it so much easier!

I’m in California and our property gets 3” layer of dust. I know what you mean mate. Haga. Thanks for the videos, I’m picking up a d3 279 that probably needs a bunch of work to get back to good condition. All the videos help me understand the details cheers!

Thank you for the video! I am in the market for a similar machine, my question, Would you keep the CAT or move to a different brand?

Short answer YES. I have received a number of messages about them being difficult to service, but they are always referring to a smaller machine. The 299D3 is a breeze to service, everything is easily accessible. My 100 hour review video is long but explains my thoughts of CAT CTL's 15-20 years ago (I hated them). I've had a few minor issues with this one, but haven't taken it in for them to fix (short in headlight switch, ride control seems to be functioning slightly different). I think I posted a video on top dislikes if you want to watch it. Thanks for watching!

Damn , it does take a long time to clean spent 6 hours on mine the other day, i use mask with filters and pool googles. It keeps out of my mouth and eyes.
