We used to use 5500 psi pressure washers with hotsies that slid out of the side of a sprinter. They were bad ass. Made by Honda. Built like tanks. Took years of abuse daily pressure washing kitchen exhaust systems sometimes for hours on end. Just rebuild the pumps every now and then. Never had an issue with the burners/hotsies. But we would have to replace hoses. They would get bubbles eventually.

The padlock you cut off was a Corbin out of New Britain CT. The keys had a long alpha-numeric code number. I saw Dad using them in 1970-72 to lock the fuel caps on the tanks of the construction equipment. Vandals loved to pour sand and dirt in the tanks. This was while the eastern link of I-95 was being built around Washington DC.

Those old dog's run forever. I had a 977H model. That appears to be a "G" model. I believe that was the last year for the brake lever. The "H" would steer by foot pedals, no lever. I worked mine Southern California a little over thirteen years with few problems. Your model was built about 1963-64.

Man, they don't make them like they used to. I know that's cliché, but it's oh so very true. I bet the winch on that thing could pull the Moon out of orbit, and stop the rotation of the Earth. Very cool old machine. The hydraulic hose blow out reminds me of a temporary fix a buddy of mine did with a cat backhoe. The old ones had two rams on the first half of the digging arm. We blew a hose and fluid all over he put a old copper penny in the fitting at the end the pressure came from to block the fluid.we folded the boom back and drove it to the shop. You maybe could do the same with a loader in that case.I wouldn't dig that way we grabbed another machine. Great show bud

That's awesome that Andrew and you hooked up to get this working properly That's an awesome machine and when you first started it up and it sounded like it was only running on two Pistons or three Pistons it's because a cat has to warm up each piston before all of them start firing That's just the way a cat is you start one up cold early in the morning it always sounds like it's getting ready to blow up and it's just the thing just waking up that's all what a great great video and thank you Andrew for helping out and I really hope you get with Matt on diesel Creek and collaborate on another video that would be just totally awesome

@@NoNonsenseKnowHow I definitely think you should do a collaboration with a couple other KZbin channels for this vehicle and then fix it up and at the end of fixing it up you make it so people can buy merch and if they buy merch they get a ticket entry into winning that piece of equipment that you fixed up... lots of channels do this and it's a good way to make money for passion projects.
