Cat Adopts Orphaned Tiger Cubs. 3 Years Later, She Reunites With Them & The Unthinkable Happens!

When a zoo cat unexpectedly loses her entire litter of kittens, she is heartbroken and inconsolable. But then, another feline mother lives the opposite experience - she gives birth to healthy kittens, and rejects them. The zookeepers worry about the tiny cats. Without their mother and no one else to raise them, they will lack several skills they will need as adults. But then, the first cat adopts the orphaned kittens… even if they’re actually tigers. A year later, they are separated to allow the tigers to flourish. 3 more years pass, and the three cats are reunited. What happens next is unthinkable!

I live in Bucharest and I can tell you with certainty that this story never actually happened at the Bucharest zoo. Look at some videos on this channel and you will see that they are all the same, just photos and a narrative that has nothing to do with the respective photos. Yup. It happens all the time. In fact, domestic momma cats are responsible for 96% of all tiger cub abductions. Sometimes their obsession is so overwhelming that if they can’t get tiger cubs they have been known to steal little bunnies and hedge piglets as substitutes. 😮

Amazing story of love and devotion by the zoo’s mascot cat, for the orphaned Siberian Tiger cubs, and the reciprocation for her nurturing and kindness, years later. I think the emotional responses that animals display, whether wild or domestic, goes way beyond what we give them due credit for. This is just one proof of how deep the love between mother and young , often is. We could learn a lot from the furry souls we share this world with, if we are willing to have an open mind , and pay attention. Thanks for sharing this great story with us!

What’s important in this true story isn’t the color of the cat or what kind she is , the lesson for me was , love never fails !! The motherly love and compassion this cat displayed towards these cubs is what true motherhood is all about, the love these cubs gave back to her is what matters and what the lesson / story is all about . This story isn’t true. It’s a fake generated story, non of the facts are verifiable and this certainly didn’t happen in Bucharest zoo or any other zoo with reporters covering it. Interspecies raising of cubs/young do happen occasionally both in captivity and sometimes (but rarely) in nature, however I think channels like this are cruel for their scams about fake emotional animal stories.

We once had a mother cat and her kitten. They grew up together. When the mother was about 10 years old, and the kitten 9 years old. The mother cat wandered away and got lost. We found her a few weeks later and brought her home. Well, her son didn't remember her and was afraid of her. It took them a few days to get to know each other again. So, I don't think this story is true. Even though it's nice and I wanted to hear the end.

I would have found this video quite a bit more credible if there were some actual photos of Sasha, the black cat and the 2 tigers she supposedly raised standing side by side when the the tigers had grown significantly larger than their surrogate mother. Especially on their much-vaunted reunion 3 years later, which was highly anticipated and should have had several cameras ready to document the moment.

Nice story, but it's full of holes. For starters, tigers don't purr. Cats that roar can't purr and cats that purr can't roar. Their vocal organs are designed differently. The only big cat that purrs is the puma, and of course, it doesn't roar. It does, however have have a blood-curdling scream, which it generally uses to attract a mate.

I have a black lab pitbull mix, I used to have chickens and he thought those chickens were his babies. He would count them over and over again to make sure they were all there. Cross species mothering happens a lot in zoos or outside shelters..but I've never heard of a house cat mothering a couple of tigers before. It does go to show that all cats are essentially similar. And FYI, she was not a tabby, although he only probably said it to suggest her as being a "house cat", which is I think the proper definition.. although she was actually a melinist, like the black panther, although it's more common with house cats. For this to be the case though, they must be all black, not a "tuxedo" cat.

I agree with you on the first part. Tigers don’t thrive in captivity with very few exceptions ( like huge natural enclosures and giving them as much natural stimulation as possible). However this story is completely fake, there is no evidence of it anywhere. I’m mad at myself for watching it.
