Firstly, I hope she gave the boyfriend a piece of her mind. Secondly, if money comes into your life, keep it a secret. You never know what jealous neighbours, friends, and acquaintances will do. Thirdly, my wife and I have 24 rescued cats (in Thailand). Unfortunately, they only pay for the expenses with unconditional love every day, though that is worth more than money. 😺

I don’t know where this fictional story is supposed to be set but it’s a mistake if it’s set in the USA. No police department would use an app to translate a letter written in another language. They would have an expert who could read that language translated the letter for them. I realize this is a fictional story for entertainment purposes only but all of the governmental agencies (federal, state or local) are forbidden from using any type of language translating app and have to call in someone who can speak or read and write the language in question.
