Chris has a great way of handling cats and Richie was so friendly and loving. Why his first owners would abandon him is beyond me. They could have taken him to a shelter at least. He is such a good boy, I'm glad he has a loving family now! Him and Kiley napping on the boat together is just the cutest thing!

my aunt abandoned her cat in her apartment when she moved out. she asked my mom to give her one of the kittens the other cat gave birth to recently. when she moved my mom asked where the cat was...she ended up rushing back to the place (it was abandoned) and rescuing the poor thing. it was dying of thirst and had no food or water left out. my cousins neighbor moved and left their cat behind. she ended up taking her in. most people are walking around with the part of their brain that makes empathy completely deviod

There seems to be a pervasive "it's just a CAT" mentality coupled with an erroneous belief that any cat will be fine if left outside. It's pretty horrible. Same thing where you see a ton of people freely commenting how much they hate cats but you'd get gasps of total horror if you said you hated dogs.

Walking a cat outdoors is not necessary for cats to be healthy. 1) Many cats do NOT adjust to a harness and leash 2) Many cats that do accept a harness and leash refuse to "take a walk" 3) Cats can do their business in a litter box 4) Cats get exercise from playing 5) Cats determine how much they want to exercise and when, not their humans

My daughter rescued/adopted a cat just like him!! Percy was found by a friend who took him to a shelter before she knew my daughter wanted him. Upon Percy’s first visit to the vet, we learned he, like Richey, is a Flame Point Siamese!! They are rare, mostly male, very, very friendly and smart! They can cost in the thousands. Richey is a true find for this loving family just like our Percy🧡🤍💙
