In some cases, the animals become scared by all the changes going on in a home. Boxes, people coming in and out...he could have stress hid or run. For myself, I had a male that we were tight..but he was always an outdoor cat...when i moved to a new location I let him out thinking he would be close by..but instead he traveled like 5 miles over highways and arrived back at the apartment complex I left. Fortunately for me...I was able to go there and call out to him using a chain I used to rap on wood to call he and his brother in for dinner....and he came running. Not every animal lost or found is intentional. I am glad for the people that found Valentino and helped him heal. Hopefully his forever home is a purrfect match. :)

Sometimes it might not be the owners fault. Because people may have a fight about keeping the animal or not, they are forced to abandon it. Or the owner has really bad health problems or the owner hasn't found a person that can adopt the cat. So they just abandon it. But it's a poor little pet that needs love.

Let’s not lose sight of the fact that she’s doing a wonderful deed overall.

People who do cat rescues as a living, like this woman, love every single cat that they help. However, if they kept every cat they fostered, there wouldn't be any room in their homes for other cats that need rescue. It looks like she fosters kittens -- those kittens also will find a forever home with another family so that she can continue doing the hard work of nursing cats back to health and raising abandoned kittens so they can survive on their own. I'm sure every cat foster family experiences heartbreak when they let go of the cats they've loved, but they do it so that they can help even more cats to survive and find their new families. It's a grueling and heartbreaking job and I commend her for continuing to do it.

Reminds me of my grandmother's cat. Her cat was abused before he was rescued, and couldn't even meow anymore. My grandma named him "Beaker" after that one Muppet since she said he could only "beak" instead of meow. That cat was one of the most cuddly balls of fur I've ever seen. Every moment you were at her house he'd want to jump in your lap and fall asleep. And at night if you weren't careful you'd wake up with a new purring pillow in your face. Man I miss the old cuddler. He passed away a few years back, and ironically after he did my own cat picked up a few of his cuddling habits afterwards. RIP Beaker. You are missed.

People rescuing animals are so strong. I can't imagine myself being able to rescue them from horrible conditions, to make them feel safe again, like they can trust again and create a bond just to end up sending them to another home. This was a like a mother Teresa story only with cats. This kitty just needed someone who cared. It has so much love and appreciation to give in return. Truly cats give back whatever love is given to them. I think that's why so many hundreds of millions have them as part of their families.

That's how I ended up with mine. Some heartless idiot abandoned her in a feral cat colony. It took a few weeks to get her to trust me enough to catch her. But she's been the sweetest girl since the moment I brought her inside. Our other cat was a stray, pregnant juvenile. She's also very sweet. Don't get a pet if you are not committed to 20 years of taking care of it. It's cruel to abandon an animal. It scares me that someone who abandons a pet could also have children.

Yeah, You touched on “The Elephant In The Living Room” that I have often thought about when I watch these animal rescue stories, “The people who treat animals this way often also have children...” 😨 Granted, I would assume they had limited resources and used what little they had for their child over the cat/dog; but what kind of example is that setting? Aren’t there shelters in most towns that will accept surrendered animals without a punitive fee?

He's maybe also so cuddly now because he has abandonment issues and is insecurely bonded as a result... :( Insecurely bonded cats can become quite clingy (just as humans). The thinking behind it (at least in humans) is "if I don't show them affection 24/7, they might leave me". Securely bonded cats trust their human to never leave them, so they are often maybe a bit less affectionate, but when they look for affection you know it's really because of positive feelings and not because of fear. I hope that this beautiful cat will find a good forever home that he can grow old in and that gives him more trust again. That's what he deserves

Just saw this today. Thanks to whoever rescued him. 17 years ago we rescued a little girl from the local shelter and our lives have never been the same since. Callie Ann came into our lives and took over our hearts. She soon became daddy's little girl. She gave us so much unconditional love and joy and became our everything. Last Thursday, she finally gave up a very brave and quiet fight against cancer and told us it was okay to say goodbye. I can't even begin to describe the pain I am going through now. I don't know if I will make it though this. My wife and I are heartbroken and will never forget how much love she gave us. It warms my heart to see others giving a new beginning to these precious little angels. Thanks to all who rescue them. God bless you.

We took in a sweet little cat who was hanging out around our apartment building for a couple weeks. She was so nice, obviously had been an indoor cat in the past. I've never had a cat so polite and sweet. Like this kitty, she requires a lot of attention and affection.

People who abandon animals should never be allowed to own another animal and kicked every day in the throat.

The person who left that beautiful cat doesn't belong on this earth, they are evil. Animals don't deserve to be treated like this. Thank God there are beautiful people who help and save Animals.

I've learned that all cats love baby talk. The most shy, timid, fearful and mean cats will respond positively to soft speaking and allowing them to approach you on their terms Just like human beings, they don't like harsh, barking, boorish attitudes

This made me literally cry for 2 reasons because i was sad that the owners just abandoned him like that. But i waa happy that the woman saved him. I hate people that abuse neglect and abandon animals it makes me sick. But I'm just happy that valenteen is gonna go to a safe home where he is forever loved and taken care of. God bless the woman who saved him.

Just heartbreaking 💔 Abandonment is the _ULTIMATE_ _BETRAYAL_ . Anyone who does it is lower than whale s#!t Thanks to all who helped Valentino get back to his beautiful self. You should keep him 💖

Not really. People don't need to own cats to know they aren't cat people. In fact, I was never really a cat person myself until I rescued my girl. I never liked cats before her (I actually owned two previously) because I grew up mostly around dogs so I never quite understood cats like I did dogs. I guess it helps l That mine doesn't have your stereotypical cat personality and acts more like a dog than she does a cat.
