How can you tell? When they declaw cats they remove the fingertips on their paws, not just the claw itself. But you can see that this cat has fingertips. Our cat growing up was declawed (a practice I don't personally agree with) and she didn't have fingertips like this cat does.

I agree. Babies and puppies should be kept away from cats with claws. Not uncommon for the sweetest of cats to swipe and do eye damage to baby or annoying puppies. The baby was pulling the fur. Cats swipe and scratch, dogs bite at babies who grab and pull fur. It is not the animal's fault if an injury to baby happens. Not the baby's fault either. 100% fault of parent. Baby pays with an injury, God forbid an eye injury or facial scars, and animal pays with getting a bad rap or even euthanized. This video shows the cat was not pleased, ready to strike, warning someone--baby, mom? Now that the baby can crawl and go after the cat...watch out.

There's always a give and take. If you get a crazy cat who likes to scratch and hiss then good luck taking it to the vet or giving it a bath. Cats don't seem as needy as dogs though, so that's a good thing. Cats will not replace a guard or watch dog - I've always felt safe with a medium or even smallish(25 lb) dog watching my back. If you're lucky you'll get a mellow cat but no guarantees! You can however with training and exercise modify a rambunctious dog into a calmer more obedient one.
@masterprocrastinator99473 жыл бұрын
@@joet7136 cats can be trained as well, they learn quickly what shouldn't be done in a master's house. In most cases, cat's aggressive behaviour is shaped due to severe upbringing, sure there are just mean cats, who yell or knock stuff off tables, but again, they can be trained and that behavour won't harm a human. Meanwhile some dog breeds are meant to be aggressive, for chasing and hunting, and always should be muzzled when outside, no training can change that.
