I'll make one soon, I have recently converted the boom and mast to except a Force 5 sail to get more sail area and speed up the boat, I'll do a short video on both

I can see this from the round mast and the totally different rigging. My mast is oval shaped.

Is the sleeved sail zip up or do you just slide it up the un-stayed mast?

The sail in the video is a zip-up but the other sail is a pull over. I'm pretty sure the factory sails are zip up

@@USMC0331Veteran ok great, that answers the prob I have with my zuma. The newer sail has a busted zipper near the top, so if I take it to get it "fused" I can just slide it up the mast then step it.

It slides over the un-stayed mast, I personally like it better than zippers due to them lasting longer. The zipper usually fails way before the sail material wears out. Once the zipper fails it is very difficult to fix.

www.intensitysails.com/zumasail.html these are good sails too, I use a force 5 sail from this company on my Capri 13 with a small modification and the force 5 sail is a pull over luff

Catalina made 2500 of these. I own #2315, one the last ones made. It is much different than this boat, which looks more like a Laser. My sail is pulled up by a halyard and secured in a slot in the mast, same as larger sailboats. I also have a Cunningham and and a boom vang to control the sail better, plus an outhaul on the boom. The mast has a forestay. I have a larger cockpit with more rounded sides. There is a traveler across my cockpit to give extra control to the boom. My dagger is located inside the cockpit. My boat is not so flat on the water. I have a small forward storage compartment with a sealed access hatch. My sail is white with three battens. There is no question my boat is a Capri 13, but it looks more like a 420 than a Laser.
