The most beautiful road I have ever ridden a motorbike on, is the coastal road from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guixols. 20 km of bending roads watching the Sea from above. Cliffs and caves everywhere and dotted with small beaches. According to Google Maps it is supposed to take 36 minutes...But the views are so breathtaking that you have to stop all the time just looking at the beauty...it took me hours...I will never forget that road. If you have a boat you can access small beaches which are impossible to reach from the road above...if you're not a mountain climber...or mountain descender rather...❤

The Catalan language also has French language influence. The Catalan word "sortida" is similar to the French word "sortie" both meaning exit/way out.

Another great one Gabe! *I am researching to film a video about the Spanish Towers all along the coast of Sardinia. Sardinia was once ruled by the Crown of Aragon (1323) which was a composite of The Kingdom of Aragon and the County of Barcelona. King Phillip II of Spain had the towers built to stop pirate attacks from North African (Berber) Barbary Corsairs!* 😮 The cool thing about Europe is it's just an open-air museum. Because of the previously mentioned facts, old town Barcelona and old town Bosa (where I am) have the same "feel".

Hi Gabriel, you are the hardened traveler going to places most people would not go to. Spain has an incredible history much isn't mentioned of the Visigoths who came after the Roman conquests, but you do see many of the castles in their Gothic Style and have remained intact for hundreds of years. And of course, the enormous influence of the Arabs or Moors even Shakespeare wrote about the Moors in Othello.

Gabriel the G in Spanish is mostly silent. It’s more or like a H sounding but it depends on the vowel that follows. Keep the videos rolling. Curious how much time you need to publish a 20 minute veejho.

Like in the word gente. Same word in for italian and spanish but italian speakers actually do pronounce it the way it is. When i was learning spanish i kept saying the obvious italian way but over time found out that there is something else that the spanish speakers around me say there. Then i changed it but i did say it correctly all along but just in italian way without realizing it

Some pedantry here. Catalonia is not just a region of Northern Spain. As often, older cultures do not follow modern borders and a large part of the Catalan speaking region is in fact just over the border in France. Now, that part of Catalonia is much more assimilated in to France, so its not an autonomous region or anything, but Catalan is still widely spoken. According to Wikipedia, in the main city of Northern Catalonia, Perpignan, around 44% of the people can speak Catalan, which is of course quite a substantial number.

Like the Basque people, the Catalans were brutally oppressed during the Franco junta period and were not allowed to speak their own language amongst other measures.
