I read her book, Think Learn Succeed. Not long after I experienced some trauma in my life and used her principles and teachings. I cannot emphasize enough the value of what these principles meant to me, it helped me through times where I would usually loose control of myself. Her book was not for the now but for later, anything of good value will pass the test of time and Think Learn Succeed certainly did! Thank you Dr Leaf👍

Thank you for the clarity and yet "simplicity" of your talk. You are so gifted in taking a very complex topic and encouraging me to dip deeper!

Expectancy doesn't automatically change with a decision not to think a certain way. As in the example of having a difficult boss, expectancy changes when we learn how to self talk, know where we stand against company rules as well as how to mentally challenge what's unacceptable in relationship, even if it's quietly in our own mind (re-conceptualizing). All this in order to learn not to worry about what other people think of us and to be fluid in dealing with difficult people so that truth wins out. Then, we can create a more positive neurological pathway.

Minute 26:13 "I'm not sure if you're aware of this but people are dying 15-25 years younger than they used to. For decades people have been living longer. Between 2014 & 2016 this trend reversed. The main reason why people are dying 15-25 years younger is because of Preventable Lifestyle Diseases. Part of those preventable lifestyle diseases- the main component is how we manage our mind."

Think about this..our success isn't measured by us...we can say and feel we're "succesaful" all day but if others don't agree that "success" can only be assumed by us and not actually validated

I.e. a shop owner is successful at obtaining a business license and the necessary insurance etc to open shop...he feels successful on opening day...but the community hates him and not 8ne of them enter the shop and in 2 years he shuts down shop in egregious debt cuz there was no customers...was he the cause of his demise? Was he unsuccessful? Or did others disagree on that success and thus destroy it???

Mathew Evans is one of two Canadians who developed and patented an incandescent light bulb, on July 24, 1874, five years before Thomas Alva Edison's U.S. patent on the device. Evans, from Toronto, Ontario, and his friend Henry Woodward, made the light bulb by sending electricity through a filament made of carbon.

Question. . When trama hits so hard and you hav givenup trying . .like zero strength to do anyghing . . Like no ability to get up and go this way emotionaly ect. . Wish i could just disappear. . How does one win this game ?. . Its like one quits life all around ...wondering thots on this

@cynthiaheimlich78916 жыл бұрын
Study the psycology of disappointment:-trauma occurs and results in severe disappointment- to overcome that you have to see it as a 'gift' of God calling you into a higher perspective. Go higher and search for an open door or to 'get over it' by climbing up that wall into a new way of thinking about it. It is a process but a fresh love and respect of self is the result and another 'step' up. I watch a lot of you tubes - 'from surviving to thriving'
@andreab26276 жыл бұрын
Trauma blindsides you, and you need time to rest, physically, mentally, emotionally. Go gently on yourself. Ask for help. But know that you can take hold of truth, promises of God, of which will anchor you in Christ in a deeper and stronger way than ever before, maybe because, ultimately, being in Christ is the only certainty and safe place in this world, and because what the enemy intended to harm or destroy us, if we turn to our heavenly father, will be used for good. It's a mystery, and a painful journey. Hold on and cry out. God is there with you, ALL the time.

Choice and persistence. That is how you build strength. Once you have the strength, no matter how small. You can use it to keep moving forward and the more you do, the easier it will become until it becomes second nature.
