Some very nice features on this boat. First problem I have with the configuration is the unprotected helm. Second is the strange floor cutout at the bottom of both port and starboard side hulls. They just look like trip hazards going into both aft cabins.

Agreed. It also seems like no 2 doorways are in line. Perhaps this is just due to how things are filmed. I pictured myself banging a shoulder every time I went through a doorway.

There’s no better catamaran on the market. Fast, functional, luxurious with stunning looks. Accommodation is beautiful too. Love the flydeck - saw ine with a hard bimini - which had pull down soft enclosure - awesome. I want one. I really want one

Hi Everybody. I just want to say one thing before the comments about how little space there is in the bedrooms/downstairs. When you want a fast catamaran you ALWAYS get a narrow/small hull. Peace out!

Is this a competition cat ?? who sail on catamarans, do not expect flying machines, but safe and comfortable boats. Sixty feet of boat (more than 2 million !!) and have these ridiculous rooms? The double beds will need to take a course of scale to climb them. No wonder Sunreef is what it is.

Agreed,, but what is the performance capability of this yacht? I don't see McConaghy mentioned in the same vein as Gunboat, HH or Kinetic yachts in terms of performance. With narrow hulls the manufacturer longitudinally divided the available hull space into separate compartments. That makes an already narrow space narrower. There are other things that annoy me on this yacht as it was specified.

Lots to like about this boat, but there’s something about it that just doesn’t do it for me. I’m not sure if it’s the staircase placement or the saloon layout or what, but there’s something about it that doesn’t quite work for me. Anyone else feel that way?

Get rid of that cutout at the base of the landing to the rooms. 5:05 Accident wait to happen.

Yep. They would have to cut the bottom of the bathroom door by 4"-6" to clear the lip of the floor or else the door will not be able to open more than about 90 degrees. But that would be ok to cut it and better than the notch in the floor (OSHA/marine/human hazard).

Not happy with the cockpit , no type of dodger or protection from the weather. I’m sure for a bunch more money that could be resolved . Also the lifelines around the cat are just plain cheap rope . Not what I would expect with this price tag.

Suggestion/request: when entering the salon, please stop and slowly pan. That is one of the most interesting parts of a boat but, for example, in this video you didn’t even do that until the last 10 seconds. Ive been doing that almost all the time lately. Yes not in this video, i agree. People were constantly moving around and blocking a nice view. But your right in that the saloon view needs a nice, slow panning shot. Wich of the videos didnt have that? Suggestions or comments. are always welcome, no problem. For a blue water cruiser spending the majority of time in the sub-/tropics this boat should have a hardtop cockpit roof, as a Bimini would just start to look ratty after 12 months. Also not sure about storage for "toys" in the hulls, again a necessity for an 'active' liveaboard cruiser. However, I accept the comprise for performance, again a necessity when trying to avoid/minimise risk to a weather front. I haven't seen a price yet but I am sure a serious buyer could work some design adjustments into a new build to suit.

Nice boat, but it’s parked next to an Outremer 5X that looks even nicer. Don’t get me wrong, the Mc Conaghy looks dreamy. However, the Outremer seems more practical to my eye.

So much potential, so little designing... I want a boat with a Privilege Owner's layout, with an FP cockpit and Saloon, with a McConaghy/DoFour digital switching electrical system tied into the NAV and MFD, with centralized control. I sold my 495 in anticipation of better designs and flexible yards.... and they're more focused on sales than customization. It is now cheaper to buy an old boat and make it your own. As opposed to getting these pretentious asshats to build what you want for less than a million.

If you are referring to the stairs on the cabin side I agree. they are also a trip hazard because you have to pull your foot backward before you can lift your leg up or you will hit the top of your foot on the stair and trip. That could mean going overboard if you manage to slip under the handrails while underway. It's an ergonomic disaster, even if it looks sleek.

Absolutely awesome cat and I'm sure pretty fast! Always a trade between luxury and speed. Would be awesome to see the speed differences between the Privilege 585 and 6 for sure. My guess is over 1/3 difference and that's a ton. Still love the Privileges layout best even though she can be a tug.

One of the popular sailing magazines like hmmm multihull or katamarans took it out for a spin and without too much effort they could retain nearly 90% of the true wind but when they tried really really hard and filled up the sail they did exceeded true wind by 10%, they didn't mention direction, angle or if it was sustained but they did say that clearly that they exceed speed by 10% at around 12kn. So take it for what you will and just look check out first 4-5 reviews (written & on e-magazines) you'll find that review and that claim which I'm referring to

Horrid fly bridge, supper crappy step location, wasted bow space and cockpit space. Interior much better, but elevating both twin bunks for stage would look nicer and be more user friendly, and those tiny haul side windows at the bottom could go.

Garry Kevin why is it rude? He's uncomfortable talking in the videos and attending some training could help him to overcome the problem. Silent movies went out of fashion long ago. The very few times you hear him in other videos as part of the ambient sound, he sounds perfectly fine, but he needs to learn to talk in the videos to get more viewers (and listeners ;-) ) It doesn't even have to be live commentaries, later voiceover describing what he shows, etc. would just add so much value.

It uses huge amounts of carbon fibre, why would you think it’s high weight, the carbon fibre mast and boom alone saves huge weight compared to other so called high performance production cats. I can’t understand why anyone would want to live on a bare bones high performance cat while they traveled the world, I’d rather get there a day later and have air con. Plus it’s down to the skill of the sailor and the sails onboard than just the weight of the boat, how many KZbin channels do you see sailing in the heat of the pacific that own an Outremer? La Vagabone doesn’t leave the Mediterranean or Caribbean, they’ve even docked their boat and stayed onshore lol, obviously they miss the home comforts too every now and then :)
