I Love this layout of the 5.4. I am currently Living in South Africa, what a mess, but within 2 years my family and I is permanatly moving to Florida, and we are getting into chartering, and this is the perfect platform, for live onbaord and chartering. The long goal is 3 of them.

Hello from SA. I am so impressed with your ideas on the Bali 5.4. My wife and I are doing a test sail on one this weekend, and I am expecting great things. Be blessed, and be safe.

HI Brian, that is great! It is really an awesome boat. If you want to connect with Steele in SA let me know. He actually did the Atlantic crossing with us and is very knowledgeable about the boat himself. He is a Seaschool instructor in Cape Town. We would also be happy to help with any questions. We sell them here into charter programs and private use, so we have extensive experience on the Bali range.

Great discussion. thanks for going deep into some of the many design features of this new cat. Quite an eye-opener

Luckyfish Gets Away we really wanted to understand what we are buying this time around so we asked the Catana crew to educate us. They were extremely accommodating and gave us access to anyone we wanted to speak to, from the people doing the layup in the factory to the designer and Catana owner. It was an eye opener. Soon we will be able to give real data on performance and livability.

in rougher waters, your not experiencing loud slamming?

Wow you as a team are so experienced and knowledgable. Unfortunately there are people who I believe are "masquerading" on YT as experts on Catamarans, an increasing breed who are migrating from monohuls over to Cats. They go under the guise of course as "seasoned sailors" and in my view looking at your many thousand of nautical miles those people will have a tough job catching up with you. I am especially interested in the water flow rate/dispersion etc between hulls and wonder is much scientific analysis has been done in varying sea conditions? Anyway one day, maybe if I can persuade my wife I will get a Catamaran, I do like those Bali models and come knock on your door, go off sailing someplace nice. Many thanks very interesting.

great review as i am interested in going around the world and doing a social documentary about it. This is becoming more and more my choice for the go to boat. Been looking at the sunreefs, eos, but this seems more practical for a number of reasons besides price.

Kristofer, yes I think this catamaran range is going to be a winner! If our sales is anything to go by, I think it already has made a name for itself. Email me for more info or if you have any questions regarding the crewed yacht programs - estelle@catamaranguru.com

Is there any restriction against having the tilting door open while under sail? Has it broken down at all for you?
@Catamaranguru2 жыл бұрын
Bryan no restriction but as a rule we keep it closed while underway. It is a huge door and if anything goes wrong, while you are sailing it would be a pain to get down fast. Our door has never broken down and honestly, I have not heard of any of the 54's doors malfunctioning.

The backside on the flybridge where all the cousins are located, can that be reconfigured to hold additional Solar panels. I am looking for a catamaran that will hold between 2200 to 2400 Kw power, as I have had very bad experiences with butane/gas equipment years ago, and are now terrified using any of those appliances, so oven, stove and BBQ (for me) has to be electrical. Thanks your reply.
@Catamaranguru4 жыл бұрын
Benny there is plenty of space for additional solar panels
@BennyTheNerd4 жыл бұрын
@@Catamaranguru I am considering the 4.6, is there enough space on that as well? The 5.4 is too big for me as I will be going to Denmark as well, and that would mean anchoring all the time, and that wouldn't be nice when my family comes to visit me. So the 5.4 is to big for me :-)
@Catamaranguru4 жыл бұрын
@@BennyTheNerd there is a lot of space but I honestly cannot tell you how you will be able to arrange it. The manufacturer is super responsive to clients and will be happy to help your supplier with installation issues after market.
