Catapult sights and anchor points

i spent a lot of time in the woods as a kid shooting wrist rockets and slingshots and i have for me at least that i was more accurate when i held the pocket with the (3/8") steel shot right at my sternum and pushed the whole slingshot right at my target rather than sighting the usual way with the forks that i could "snap shoot" targets at distances that even surprised me, we may have grown up but sling shots are every bit as fun as any other hunting tool wether its a bow, crossbow, or shotgun/rifle and considerably cheaper and easier to find places to shoot, i really want to get one of those flat ergo style slingshots like you showed in here, good to put in a pocket or pack and take camping with.

What is the process of accurately putting that sight onto your catapult in exactly the right position?

Pick a reference point in your slingshot and make sure you’re able to hit exactly where you’re aiming with it. Adjust your laser so it points at that same spot.
