Give credit to the defense for hanging in there. The defense certainly battled. Ryan Fitzgerald and Alex Mastromanno are truly impressive players as the kicker and punter; both have a shot in the NFL.

I am still having a hard time understanding why anyone thinks DJU is an answer to their QB situation. He absolutely ruined Clemson's program in just 2-3 years. Unfortunately Dabo believed in DJU and did not recruit another great QB in time. Cade might be okay now, but has never been any better up until last week, so DJU just stayed the starter and killed so many drives it is unbelievable. For those of us that witnessed that, it amazes me that anyone that recruits could not see how awful he is. Glad he is at FSU.

This is all on coaching. It’s easy to blame the players but when coaches don’t prepare players to use their talents and hide their weaknesses, it makes you question why? Mike Was feeling himself this offseason with the BAMA job situation. Then while unfocused, emotional about the snub, he brings a non athletic QB. Especially, when your offense ONLY clicked bc of the athlete Travis was. Mike needs to operate like a 10 million dollar coach like he’s being paid. Every season, regardless of outcome, the best teams improve their coaches/roster.
