Dear Tracey and Andy, Just watching your fantastic Catbells/Maiden Moor video again. In 1993 I won the Gregynogg Composer of Wales Award and climbed Catbells the same day as receiving the result. An amazing place - much missed - with an added memory. Thank you, indeed, for your memorable video. Yrs, Andrew

@@andrewkeeling9935 wow , what did you play ? What an achievement . I used to play guitar and flute and got to grade 7 but sadly stopped playing in my late twenties. I'm glad our videos give you haply memories Andrew

Hi Tracey, Andy and Billybob, beautiful video as usual, you can see why it’s so popular going up Catbells, amazing views but once you had walked away from the hotspot it only got better, definitely one I would love to do one day. Thanks for posting this, hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend. Cheers Glyn.

Terrific walk in brilliant weather. Catbells is a wonderful fell and is rightly popular. If you go early or late in the day , even in summer, it's often not busy. Despite the crowds it's one of my favourite fells because of the stunning views. Lovely video as always.

Morning Tracey, fantastic walk, I love the waterfalls in the Newlands valley. To be fair, I'd have gone in no further than you did! 🤣 You spent longer on the summit of Cat Bells than I would have....it looked like Snowdon. Haha All the best Dave

It doesnt get much better than that Tracey! Absolute stunning scenery and valley. The drone footage is amazing. I said to Andy our stay at Littletown Farm last year was one of our best holidays ever. Just sat in the garden having a beer looking over to Hindscarth and Robinson was a delight and of course the good weather helped haha. Ive never walked down the valley from the tarn but thats now on my list. Cheers ATB

Thanks Tony ....it must have been a magical stay with that view and a beer in hand haha ....glad we have given you the idea of walking that valley, it's a must , also we want to try out the route onto Dale Head from the valley heading up the mines , that should be good too.

@Traceyattrill-EssexgirlinwildАй бұрын
@markward6387 depending where you park at catbells I'm guessing about 2hr walking and depending how fast you walk and I'm guessing about 3 miles or just over

@@Traceyattrill-Essexgirlinwild thanks so much Tracey we normally park in the little free bit at the start of catbells , but want do the 3 peaks and walking back same way you come is often feels counter productive 😂

What a fantastic hike with such beautifully stunning views. I agree with you Tracy I hate busy hills , When I did Catbells it was at 5 in the morning on a wet day and we saw absolutely no one else .that being said I had to set off at 4 in the morning. I will definitely try this route that you and Andy did it looked amazing. Can I ask what GPS unit you use on your hikes? cheers Jim. Thanks again for doing the map time I always enjoy the breakdown of the route and to see where to park.

@jameslowther9792 thanks James...I use a mix of either outdoor active or locus maps on my mobile as I download the routes for offline use so works pretty well...always have another phone on hand for back up tho and carry an external charger , keep meaning to get a GPS but so expensive and I always need other things instead haha

Hi Tracey, Last space at that time huh, I wonder where they all went 🤔, not your route obviously. I can't believe they were the ones on Catbells, the ones you couldn't stand any more. Maiden Moore cairn doesn't win any prizes unless it was used in Spinal Tap (ask Andy). Nice time-lapse, think this is the first time this year I've spotted cotton grass. Andy's obviously not too worried about ticks, or maybe they don't bite milk bottles 🤣😂. Where was the rockstar running off to with those rocks? Did Andy go for a dip? Cheers Graham
@Traceyattrill-Essexgirlinwild5 ай бұрын
Thanks Graham ...I've never heard of Spinal Tap .....apparently they are a band??? I think Andy sprays deet all over his kegs and runs in the shower as soon as he gets home, I always wear long leggings but today I was lounging on lovely dry grass in Crag Fell in just a sports vest 😀 it's been scorchio today atb Graham
