Really enjoyed this Tracey, especially as I did part of that route yesterday and in similar weather too🙂 LOL at Billy in the bogs 😅 The route you took up Whinlatter is in the revised version of the Wainwright Guide as is the route down from Widow Hause, I know because I researched them back in 2018, ha, ha. They're not in the original guides though as you say 👍

Hi Tracey, My memory is playing tricks on me, some parts of this route remind me of one from about a year ago (King Arthur's seat?), I'd never have considered this from a map but you managed to find us some lovely little views like Broom Fell, oh and a description that completely put me off my late night chocolate icecream 🍦 💩. Not seen a blewet this year sofar in fact pretty naff apart from a massive bloom of agaricus bisporus at the Eton rowing lake, no-one was touching them. How has the season been where you are? I'm not a fan of coniferous woods but the moss in the sun looked fantastic. The boggy bits reminded me of our Watendlath walk, and you had a boggy Billy. Did I mention how many quite elderly people we saw attempting adventurous climbs on ebikes, I have mixed feelings. Looks like you need a bigger sd card. Cheers Graham

@gberish602 haha sorry I put you off your choc ice-cream 😄 ..I did this route onto Whinlatter Fell last year but I only did the one summit , and went down before Lords Seat . You have a good memory...i have seen people on ebikes trying to ascend Lining Crag , they had to carry their 24 kilo bike up it !I had to redirect a couple trying to ride their bikes onto Lords Seat as no way they would get over the stile as on a pedestrian route. It's the only Blewit I have found this year but it's been far too warm recently, I thought it was a bit early for them ?? When month do you find them? ...thanks again Graham for your support on my channel 👍

@@Traceyattrill-Essexgirlinwild I think the season can run from mid August to the end of October, blooms tend to occur when humidity and temperature are right and come to a halt with the first notable frost. We've just had a really weird year weather-wise so what you are seeing is likely to be very different to the Thames valley.

Hi Tracey, For the first time in ages probably the majority of shots of the ascent to stickle tarn had numbers of others in it. Looks like the seasons are changing, fantastic views from Harrison Stickle, even more so with Andy's drone. Got chatting to a bloke from a drone club, his latest toy was almost silent if it wasn't for the flashing lights you wouldn't know it was there. Just for a moment I thought "clumsy" and "weakling" were having a moment. Guess you did this walk during the hot weather you were telling me about. I can see why High Raise is a favourite of yours, mind you, you were lucky with the weather sure many a soggy sandwich has been scoffed in the wind shelter with no views.
