Just as others have mentioned, it does need a dab of oil before you use it kzbin.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e - put a few drops in through the convenient screw cap and you are good to go! I have fished several weeks with a couple of these, and I will be getting more in the future. I put these against my Abu Garcia Pro Max reel, and they actually perform a bit better than the Abu with some of my lighter cranks, and definitely just as good with the rest of my lures. My Abu is a bit more low profile and fits my hand better, but these are definitely not bad at all. You can almost get 3 of these for the price of my Pro Max. My only complaint is the thumb bar sits pretty high compared to my traditional profile Abu. Bring that thumb bar down a little and I’m sold on these all day long.

I use a ziplok bag and spray shad oil on the worms. After a while just drop the worm in the bag and shake and cast. I had a bass jump up a foot out of the water and grab the worm off some grass right when I casted. You can see the worm oil ring on the water and I can tell you this works great.

Never knew anything about the fishing rods are reels that I used when I was a kid, just a simple ugly stick from Walmart with my dad, would go out to fish with the same spinner bait, just changed the color once in a while and literally never failed to catch bass with him. Pretty big bass too, never caught a bass with a plastic worm lol hopefully some day I will.

I go cheap. Ugly stick or Cherrywood medium to medium heavy bait caster rod or spinner rod. QUANTUM reel's. The Pulse or ACCURIST. I have caught alot of bass on these rod's and reel's. I bank fish. Using braid and mono. Braid no stretch. Mono learn to retie every so often. Or you will lose the big one. Shawn

Same! Literally bought a bunch of the same spinner since i was a kid (about 15 years).. never switched size or color and caught all sorts of different fish and sizes. Just went out of my comfort zone and learned frogs last year and learning plastics this year. Spinners cover water faster and are good for finding fish but ive been catching bigger bass than i ever have now. Biggest was on a frog but texas rig worm was a close second

Only thing you need something other than a MH for is a weightless senko, I'd go Medium w fast action for that. You can feel the bite much sooner and can feel the bottom and structure better as well, it's a vastly better experience.

It would be cool to watch him take on some highly pressured lakes where it can be really difficult to catch highly intelligent Bass that has seen a lot. Gotta let em eat the senkos - first couple looked like you set before the fish had a chance to pull the front of the bait deeper into the mouth or you would have been able to cross their eyes instead of letting them steal your 1$ each Yamamoto..that’s how our fish are anyway down here on a Lake Austin- I’m no pro though, that’s for sure, but do fish three or four days a week as we are quarantined on the lake.. Cool video. I’ve heard pros say the bass expects the bait to fight back so on top of the senkos flavoring, feeling a little resistance may help get that hook sucked deep enough?? I’m sure you know all this but too much time on my hands...
