Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup kzbin.infoUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

From 7:11 to 19:20 was pure gold. No one else that I've seen on the Web does a better discussion of how to retrieve jigs in ponds and how to set the hook than you do here. That from high to higher hookset is great knowledge to have and I'll be trying it tomorrow.

I HAVE THAT EXACT JIGHEAD storytime: I was going fishing for the day and I got that jighead. Since I'm a beginner I dont really know how to use it so I dont, NO bites at all the whole day. I get a couple pointers from a fisherman and I start using the jig and the first cast I got like 2 or 3 bites! I dont really know how to set the hook properly so i missed all the bites and i got 5 bites in like a couple casts but my stepdad said we had to leave. Storytime over anyways if I stayed out there for 30 more minutes I would've caught something. Oh and I'm going back out on a kayak one day with the same gear because I MUST catch that hungry bass
