This was a well narrated and explained video. As a newbie , I really thank you for the explanation on determining when and where to beach dive. Well done! .

@@amandochavez9120 I’m goin to Palos Verdes there’s this cool trail called Sacred Cove View Trial. First time there, I saw this video of someone recommending it.

@@amandochavez9120 in your video you said things to look out for are the maori eel. Have you had any issues with sharks when you go out diving alone ?
@amandochavez91204 жыл бұрын
@@Isaacperezis1248 awesome! Sounds like a great spot. I wouldn’t worry about the sharks they hunt during the day and they’re really not a threat! Hope you had a good dive!?

Yah, didn't get out as much this season for bugs but I'll be going more often for seabass and yellowtail soon.

I have been looking for that weight harness / back plate since I used on at work. Do you have any idea where I can locate one? Who makes them?
@oakpwr4 жыл бұрын
The guy who used to make them was Larry Caraguy, but I believe he doesn't make them anymore. Try calling spear america or neptonic systems. They are harder to ditch in an emergency and less popular I would not recommend them unless you have back problems. They also make weighted vests which are similar, but they tend to tear up after a few seasons.

@@oakpwr Thanks, I've been looking for one for work, not so much for my free diving, maybe I'll just make a mold and pour one.

If it's something you aren't wearing all the time then a weighted vest might work out. I know one of the freedive shops up north used to carry them, but I can't remember the name of the shop.

Tyler there's a guy named "Trace" on my forum selling a weight harness for 8. It's 16 lbs of weight and the same as mine. Goto spearingforum.com and do a search for his name, then send him a pm as I don't have his email address. You should move fast I bet it sells.

If a Lobster guage "TOUCHES" on both front and back it is a legal bug!!! A "CLICKER " is when there is space on the guage!! Hence it can move and CLICK

You are technically right, but it is up to the discretion of the dfw officer. I know several guys who got cited for "short bugs" who received tickets which is a bummer because you have to battle it out in court. It's not worth it IMO.
