Cole's talking about the rod, how many remember the Ugly Stik by Shakespeare when they used to advertise bending the tip to the butt, showing the craftsmanship of it? They used to be a fine rod. If I lived by Cole and Jay, I'd be willing to buy those stripers😂😂😂. 2035

And I tried that in the late 90's early 00's I tried what they showed on TV and it snapped each time. Lol
@Noone-rt6pw3 жыл бұрын
@@repnatl That's right. I went to Kmart early 90's to buy my uncle one for his birthday. I grabbed the rod in the store, bent it and it snapped in half too. But before thieves, I did have an original that was sweet. Just like Cold Steel knives, they were good, but now has been bought out, I expect their quality to erode too. It just isn't as profitable to make quality according to some.

Hey from NC yall, where we are waiting for the ice storm to begin. That sure looked good. I caught a 9lb spiney lobster deepsea fishing on a charter once. Let me tell you that was a fight from 100ft! Great to see Jay and baby! My daughter is due the 25th I believe. In the last video, Cole, where your hands were freezing, you put a lure on and called it a spoon. It looked very much like a Hopkins Lure we use here for striper and saltwater fishing. After my grandpa passed, he had a Hopkins Lure on one of his ocean rods. The treble hook and the red and white skirt had pretty much rusted away. I polished it up and put it on my key chain so it kinda keeps me close to his memory every day. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!

If this way tastes like lobster, do it again and sauté a'la scampi. Let us know. Also, you can use the belly meat and red meat on your catfish limb lines. Cole and Jay, you two have no idea how lucky you are to have so many great fishing spots around you. Where I live, there is basically no good fishing spots without a 2 to 3 hour drive. This makes going fishing before work really hard....I just hit the local "reservoirs"....which are really just big above ground ponds that my small town uses for its water source. The river that runs through town is really narrow and very shallow....until it floods and basically cuts the town in half. What do I catch at the local reservoirs? Green Sunfish.....lots and lots of Green Sunfish. There are Largemouth Bass, Perch, Rainbow Trout, and Catfish in there too....but I can't catch them from the banks and I don't have a boat of any type to get out to where those fish stay. But hey, fishing is fishing and I'll be happy when it warms up here in Northern Ohio and I can hit the waters with my three new fishing buddies...two girls age 7 and a boy age 5...and see their delight as they catch a lot of fish...and hopefully some BIGGINS!
