Another good video, i do enjoy your format of 3 trips at various locations at the venue you choose 👍👍

Thanks for that - I don't really want to put out short videos with few fish caught in them! Although its still pleasant to be out on a beach whilst not catching - its not quite the same experience watching that on KZbin - that's my take anyway!

Thanks Paul - I normally use the Leeda Icon tripod that's in this video. I have others, but this is light and compact.

i fish hollan on sea always have a great day no snags and plenty of fish last sesion had a nice ray 5 decent bass 3 flounders it would be nice to see close up of you baiting up i use bait needle very plesent watching you fish ,i tried along the clacton coast no luck regards ray
@rodsangleuk62833 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments Raymond - I used to just fish Hollond-on-Sea and towards Holland Haven when the wooden groynes were there, but nowadays I like to explore new marks, even if it means that I'm likely to catch less. I'm hoping its just a matter of time before I hit it right and catch something decent for the camera along the Clacton stretches. I have baiting needles, but tend not to use them that often.

Well you win some and you lose some. I've done worse...a lot worse...but we still go back and forever live in hope! The final bass wasn't too shabby and at least you didn't blank or have your swim invaded by swimmers! Another great, and relaxing, video. Take care. Ken

Love the video how's about a pier series tight lines
@rodsangleuk62833 жыл бұрын
Good idea - although I'm not too keen on piers. I've never fished Clacton, nor Southend (despite living here!) pier. I do sometimes watch others fish them and I'll cover them at some point, but I much prefer fishing off beaches. Thanks for watching and your suggestion.

When the wall was there in clacton and the rocks close..one summer I had it off everyday same spot,day In day out pulling cod out,I was giving it away in the end…good few years ago,I was a local…decent fishing then,the moved the banks out further and made it harder fishing
@rodsangleuk62833 жыл бұрын
Those were the days. If there wasn't anything decent at distance I used to catch a decent bass by casting to the end of one of the wooden groynes - this happened more often than not, so not a fluke. Things have changed and its about time I'm due a good day on the rays! Thanks for watching and commenting Steven.

Do you ever take a fish home to eat ? Just curious !
@rodsangleuk62833 жыл бұрын
If they're in size I do take soles, plaice and the occasional bass and black bream. Rarely other fish; although I've eaten a few whiting recently.

Good morning my friend. Well done ,personally I dont think you did to bad, you caught and that is our aim..I think it shows the immense pressure our fishing venues are under...many years back we would fish close to these beaches for stingrays..I was a bit surprised in the lack of Whiting... maybe that was a good thing 🤔.. But all in all a lovely informative and successful adventure... Well done and many thanks .
@rodsangleuk62833 жыл бұрын
Thanks again Michael 👍 Yes - not all sessions are heaving with fish! However, if you don't go and try you'll never know what's about. Quite often I'll be the only one on a stretch fishing, so can't gauge what the venue's like (although it's unlikely to be heaving with fish if no-one else is fishing there)! Catching something at all is part of the challenge. By the way the whiting have just arrived in numbers at St.Osyth, so should now be on other Tendring beaches.
@michaelhayes10683 жыл бұрын
@@rodsangleuk6283 yes your right it's about trying more than anything... and we never know what might come along...thanks for the nod on the Whiting, we have only seen pin Whiting up to now ...but the herrings have arrived now and the better Whiting are normally close behind...once again many thanks .
