PS I've caught a lot of crabs in the middle of a creek or river they will traverse anywhere bepending on depth etc always best to put a couple if feeler pots in middle aswell as along banks

Depending on the run thoseroud pots are prone to rolling either tie tia mangrove or put couple of pieces of Rio bar across the bottom protruding out from the pot to stop them rolling if they roll they'll roll up your rope n float aswell and you won't find them

gutter pots, made to go in a skinny gutter, can't roll. Just have to make sure the bait is suspended in the center

A bloke I know said if you’re gonna use any types of oil not to put it directly on the bait as it can make the crab taste like it… not sure if it’s true or not but I was using oil at one stage and just dipped a sock in the oil and zipped tied it to the top of the pot, also big Jennies won’t really attract the fellas its those real small little ones that they love !! And there’s nothing wrong with using the middle of any creek they’ll be anywhere sometimes…

Cool vid mate. With the bow I've wanted to use one down the Gold Coast on Tilapia but Fisheries have informed me it falls under the same restrictions as spearguns. There are creeks and rivers where you are allowed to spear but most you can't so that might narrow the options for some arrow slinging up your way. Looking forward to seeing how you go.

as i have said before here , so your probably sick of it. if your catching jenny after jenny, rejoice...., as in a day or probably 2. you will get nothing but bucks. and leaving jenny's in your pots, runs the risk of them eating your bucks as they are much faster and will happily kill a buck if in the mood. and their always in the mood, if their left in to long..... like 36 hours or so. some of the sights I have seen in pots with jenny's holding up a half eaten bucks, still give me nightmares.😩😩😩

Long time US bowfisher here and best advice is aim much lower than you think if you're in clearer water than you're used to. If your water is pretty dirty, they are generally within the upper foot or 2, so it kind of takes care of itself, but you'll still be aiming low, but nothing like clear water.
