I crush stocked trout on tiny crankbaits, anything like a crickhopper, weecraw, or snap bean.Key is small, like 1" cranks. Put a tiny spit shot about 18" away just to keep it in the strike zone, and slow drag it back. Works every time even with ridiculously pressured trout

Earthworms, wax worms, powerbait all will work well for bait. For lures I use home made spinners but you can buy some such as mepps or blue fox. Rapala CD 3 in gold have worked best for me and have caught some large trout on them.
