Catch PANFISH & Bass ALL SUMMER!

In this video, we'll do some ultralight fishing for panfish and bass using several different lures that all work great for the Summer season. Thank you so much for watching!

Thanks so much, Jim! Mark always seems to catch more and nicer fish than me for some reason, even when we use the same gear. 😂 Yes, you need to try the Trout Slayer and Tiny Dancer out, for sure. You would fill the cooler with bluegill or shellcracker the way I have seen you catch them. The Trout Spin is also killer!

Thanks so much, Chip! They sure were fun trips. I have been very impressed with the Micro Lite Rod. I bought it about a year or so ago and it’s been terrific. Great response and sensitivity for its price point. It has the perfect amount of balance with the Regal LT 1000. Feels almost weightless when you are holding it.

I use a spinner and a Yum grub for sunfish and got a 9 inch one on Yum Christmas grub sliver spinner with a Eagle claw shell pre rig. The time of my life that day need to do it again. Is not easy to find bluegill fish where I live.

Mike definitely won slab of the day with that jumbo shellcracker. You would wear the smallmouth out up there on the Delaware with the Trout Spin or the Tiny Dancer, I bet. Fun lightweight lures.

Seems like in SC where I fish the bluegills have dominated this year. But we sure could use some good rain up state to flow down & bring the waters in lower state up. Places in Edisto river you can now walk.

All on 2lb SOS. Great line. I use it but usually 4lb. I do use the 2lb FC tied to braid. I don't have any tiny dancers. Going to order some. Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks so much for watching! Yes, SOS 2lb is amazing. I like the 4lb for trolling crankbaits. Crazy tough for such thin diameter line. I have been using the 2lb non-stop and it has really impressed me. Such great line for ultralight and at the price point would be very hard to beat, in my opinion.

Yessir! They are fun this time of year. No matter, the size.. panfish are flat out fun to catch, in my opinion. For smaller fish, adjusting your gear and using ultralight equipment with 2lb test can make even the little bluegill feel like jumbos. If you aren’t already familiar with it, look into micro fishing. It’s wild!

@pnw_element9822 Keep after them. The bigger ones are out there, someplace. Try fishing for them a few days right at and around a full moon. That sometimes can help in Summer. The larger males may be nesting in protected corners of ponds or near backs of coves. Especially in May and June. Here in TN, that seems to be the case.

@@paulkipps9392 I think it could create some twist if you tie straight to it, but a swivel might remedy that. I have one reel set aside that I usually only fish inline spinners or troll with, so the twist isn’t too big of an issue for me. One thing is for sure, the Trout Spin catches fish. We had a great day on the water.

@pistolcreek yes you did prove they do work, no doubt! And it's a good idea to have 1 rod for spinner if it did create line twist, you wouldn't be out of a lot of line that would need to be replaced! I will keep that one in mind!

Larry, my friend, first rule of fish club… never reveal your spots.😀 I mean absolutely no offense by that… I just try to avoid naming specific bodies of water or areas online to respect the locals and folks who have showed me spots. Thanks so much, Doc! I never intentionally target bass, but boy are they fun when you land one on the UL gear. Funny thing is each time I fish the Tiny Dancer, I kept hooking bass. I was trying to catch bream!😂 At one point.. I started to think I should just give in and target bass.
