I hear on the grapevine that Rakali water rats like a feed of redfin ;) Great video mate. My favourite fishing also. Been getting hundreds of reddies this season. The buggers sure are on the chew this year. I think it is because the weather has been more in their comfort zone and it has not been the typical boiling hot summer we usually get.

I agree about the weather being the likely cause for the redfin activity this year, but I'm certainly not complaining I'm having loads of fun chasing them hahaha

Thanks heaps Shamus! I usually keep it fairly simple, just fillet them, a light coating of flour, and then fry with a tiny touch of olive oil. This time I egged and crumbed the fillets for something different, but still shallow fried in olive oil

Do you struggle with the mud at waranga at all? I went out last week and the mud was over my knees, but maybe it was just the spot I was at.

Some spots can be quite muddy, but other spots can be OK. There's grassy and rocky areas around Harriman's point that aren't too bad for mud

Thanks mate, I'm actually very happy with the way it worked while wading, although I wouldn't mind putting some kind of hoop in the bottom of it so it stayed more open for the fish, they kept getting stuck in the mesh, I reckon thats why 1 of them went belly up

Everyone likes different types of plastics, but I reckon the paddle grubs from Jigglefishing are unreal - I recommend the phantom, green speck, or pink bitz colours. I try not to name exact spots, that way only people who already know it will recognize it so there's no major harm done most of the time, although with landmark places like weirs it's hard to hide haha

I had a couple of 28's in there (measured at home) but you're right it's definitely off a touch. It's been too long since I caught redfin that weren't sardines, I was out of practice LOL
