Kenan, Kyle and Tom, what’s the policy in Floria regarding relocation of gators further afield (such as if this boy keeps coming back) Here in Australia I know there’s been some success relocating salties by placing magnets over their heads during transport, which effects their ability to find their way home using the earths magnetic force. I believe this was then tried in Belize with some good results aswell

Just a little question I was helping by a man made creek and south jersey and I caught a hatchling red bellied cooter surrounded by mallards and so far I took him home and he never eats the turtle pellets that my old pond sliders ate but he does eat krill and spinach so do you have any suggestions on what else he could eat?

No hate on Kenan, I’m always a fan, but I think this was very poorly done. Situation was more dangerous than it needed to be and the gator was stressed out way more than necessary. I know people will say that this was done by professionals but everyone makes mistakes, including this situation. The tape over the towel was a mistake because it would have just slipped off if the gator tried. That with a bunch of people in the truck bed would be a disaster. Tying it to the tree and letting it wrap itself up was not good either, even if they’re tough. I get that Kenan was caught up in adrenaline and excited, but he was not being careful around the gator or giving it the respect he normally shows animals. It should have just been released closer to the water and it would have gone in, no need to prod it into defensive postures.

Curious, where was the danger? And what did you want them to do? Carry it to the waters edge? Lol If you listen to what he said, the gator knows the big one is in the large body of water. So it’s going to avoid it and go to the other side. And I do agree with the towel and tapping over it, and not doing just his jaw, but Other then that, they handled it pretty Well.
