Catching big size pompanos after 8PM at skyway bridge south pier shallow area

A big shout out to Ahmed and his son vacationing from New Jersey who stopped by to say hello.
9:10AM - Did I say Sunday? Sorry no it is Saturday. Setting up my shade. It is too hot already!
2:24PM - First keeper. I think I caught this in between #21 and #22.
5:55PM - Second keeper. Barely 11 inches. I’ve been jigging for more than 8 hours now. I deserve to keep this.
6:38PM - Third keeper. Almost 11 and a half inches. This is Eli’s secret spot in between #23 and #24. He is here today. He stopped by to say hi. It was great to say you again Eli.
7:14PM - Is this whiting? We tried it and we do not like the smell.
7:22PM - A speckled trout. I think I am now in the shallow area. I saw this guy Lee whom I met yesterday catching Pompanos here.
7:43PM - It’s been awhile I haven’t caught Pompanos in the shallow area and unfortunately it is too small.
7:58PM - Finally, another keeper. A 12 and a half. This is in between #8 and #9 in the shallow area.
8:05PM - Remember that guy Lee? He keeps catching those Pompanos. I believe he is in between #10 to #12. He was the one who made me decide to stop by the shallow area on my way out.
8:22PM - I wish you can see what I see on this video guys. Two beautiful rainbows. Unfortunately, my video is blurry. Sorry about that.
8:42PM - While Lee keeps catching those Pompanos, I am trying to share with you guys this beautiful sunset. Of course I’m still jigging.
9:07PM - I was about to leave around 8:45PM, then I saw Lee caught his last Pompano. It was the biggest I saw today. Probably at least 13 inches. I tried for a few minutes but no luck. I caught unwanted species including this speckled trout.

@AntonioSolangon I went today and caught 2 shorts my friend ..early morning out going tide. The videos help motivate me. Usually I fish John's Pass and Clearwater Pass

That was another great vid. Are you using a 1 ounce jig?

@@frankrothe3064 I am using 1/2 ounce. That guy Lee I believe is using 1 ounce. His jig looks bigger than mine. Friday he caught 5 and yesterday, Saturday he over his limit and he only came around 3pm. Pompanos are more active in the afternoon until early evening in Skyway south pier.
