My friends and I have been wondering where you've been! Glad to see some content from you guys as we are out here trying to figure out the game. With the limited time we get to look for tuna, we have failed on each trip. Do you guys long soak only when you see them under the boat? We are yet to mark them. .. is that 30 minute Hobie Howard??
@BryanTimm Жыл бұрын
That is Howie from Hobie. This day was more of a plunker bite so we were marking sporatic fish and throwing 1's and 2's to get em interesting. Had to long soak bait for most of our bites.

Looked like a Daiwa Proteus
@BryanTimm Жыл бұрын
It was a daiwa proteus but as for the model I couldn’t tell yuh. It was my buddies rod. I know it was an 8’ model.

Is that a fathom 30 2-speed? on the rod with the Winn grips.

15!
@claper2225 Жыл бұрын
Would a 30-60 diawa proteus be good as a heavy bait rig for 50-100 pound fish with a fathom 25? Or would you go up another step to a heavier model?
@BryanTimm Жыл бұрын
I'm not super familiar with the proteus rods honestly but id recommend going heavier if you're looking at fishing bigger fish. Just makes it easier on yourself if you do hook a mean one.

Do fathom 15s have enough drag to fish 30-70 bft? What rod would u pare with it for a 30lb flyline setup?
@fvaldez7143 ай бұрын
Easily can handle that grade fish especially if it’s the 15ld2. Just spool with 40 braid backing and 25 or 30lb fluoro or top with mono. Calstar 270h-8 or 800m would work great
